    iPhone 6 and Bluetooth problem

I had that problem and I deleted the phone profile from the Model X and deleted the Model X profile from the phone and it went away. Seems to be the thing to resolve most conflicts. Restarted phone and center screen as well.

Solar roof - amazing - crowd mysteriously quiet - awkward

@Dr. Smoke I think the graphics might be under the tempered glass; looks that way on the website. If not, I share your concern.

    portable CD player?

I'm an audiobook guy too. Assuming you have a smartphone, check out an app called "Overdrive". It lets you check out audiobooks (and e-books) from your local library without a physical copy. It's pretty cool.

    Autopilot real or imagined?

I think Autopilot requires a different kind of attention, one that is not as fatiguing for me. Just finished a 1200 mi roundtrip journey, and I felt more like the CEO of my car than the bookkeeper, if you see what I mean. I found myself looking further down the road, having less tension in my...

    "Stuff Holder" for 2nd Row

I just got one of these: http://www.target.com/p/automotive-cargo-tote-rubbermaid/-/A-15266187 I alternately keep it in the back trunk or between 2nd row seats depending. I have rubber floor mats, so doesn't seem to move around. Low tech, kinda invisible.

Backing into the garage with Summon

I've had the same experience. I have a pretty narrow garage, a bunch of stuff hanging from the walls, and an angled driveway, so it's kind of an acid test. So far not super helpful. Fun to play with, tho!

    Model X May Deliveries

@VABarb If you don't get it, I actually think it looks pretty good with the spoiler up, and it is another thing to break....I completed production sometime around May 5th and was VIN 3018. If you're anywhere near as happy with the vehicle as me, you are not going to be too down about the...

    Incorrect temperature reported?

I have seen what I thought to be an exaggerated interior temp too. Car was in garage out of sun in Minnesota, might have been a little warm, but was reading 98F. Didn't have an independent reading, but this is likely high.

    Model X May Deliveries

I picked up VIN 3018 on Tuesday 6/31. They told me late May, delivered late May! No fit and finish or functional issues I could see. I started out with the checklist, but kind of abandoned it during the process just to enjoy it more, especially since everything seemed to look fine. Got the...

    Model X May Deliveries

I have a delivery date! On MyTesla page it said end of May, and it's May 31st. Just thought I'd throw in a data point where Tesla makes a deadline. While Tesla has missed quite a few, for sure, I think there's kind of reporting bias thing that happens on forums that makes it worse than it seems...

    Cargo Liner

@ohmman , how do you think it would work to put a little Velcro on the seatbacks and on the liner? I'd like something that I can just leave in there, even when I have the third row of seats in use, do you think this liner would work that way? Thanks!

First 'flawless' Model X made on 4/29

I think we might be interpreting "flawless" differently than a production crew does. I am guessing that in this context flawless means: the car went through the line, was inspected, and in all the parameters it was inspected for, nothing needed to be fixed. That doesn't mean the inspection...

Any Late April-May people hear from their DS about imminent deliveries?

Well, my DS told me I'm out of production; just over a week as he said. I am now waiting for rail transport which is supposed to take a week or two to Chicago, then trucking on up to Minneapolis. Looks like mine will get here not long after they get a Model X to show for a "Meet the X" event...

Any Late April-May people hear from their DS about imminent deliveries?

Just got the call this afternoon that I'm in production at the "body in white" stage. With completion of production, inspection, rail transfer to Chicago and truck transit to Minneapolis they are estimating late May delivery. VIN 30XX, ordered 12/15, 90D, subzero, towing, 6 seats, premium...

Hey, I believe I ordered an electric car, not a Diesel!!

Ouch! Is that after tax? I know the exchange ratio has taken a big hit over the last year, but I'm surprised.

Plugless Power Now Available to Reserve for the Tesla Model S

In their FAQ system they quote 12% less efficiency than a plugged system. That may well be pretty good as an engineering goal, and I would like it from a convenience standpoint, but since a big reason I'm doing the whole electric car thing is conservation, I probably won't pursue it myself. Get...

    X90D Delivery Over/Under

I'd say well under 10%. I reserved two years ago (might not matter now) ordered 90D in Dec and they are estimating June/July. Not sure that estimate is worth putting a lot of stock in either, but if I were you I sure wouldn't have my heart set on May.

Model X Email: All Rez holders to configure in 2015

$130K is what a fully loaded Signature model costs. You will be able to configure a 90D for well less than that. The media have gotten a lot of misinformation out about the Model X price. Rough idea is to configure a Model S the way you would want your X and then add $5K.

Tesla talking to other OEM about Supercharger sharing, could well be Aston Martin.

That would seem to be a good idea as far as economies of scale, but they seem to be going their own way. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/18/aston-martin-800hp-electric-rapide/ I like how you are thinking, however. If Tesla could sell "skateboards" to other manufacturers they could get around...

"This is the big thing about Tesla that people don't understand" - Yahoo Finance

I get that I'm probably feeding a troll here, but you are assuming the outcome of a hypothetical comparison of subjective features of yet to be released vehicles. Furthermore, you are imposing only three choices, when many more would exist, should this assumed/hypothetical/subjective future of...

"This is the big thing about Tesla that people don't understand" - Yahoo Finance

I agree, and there's a lot more that's different. I realize I'm preaching to the choir here but: * Internet based ordering * Cutting out dealers * Updatable product * No money on advertising * Integrated factory/service I'm sure many of you could add more, and this is only in looking at Tesla...

Porsche starting to take Tesla seriously

I'll be going from Porsche to Tesla. I've had my car 17 years, and wouldn't trade it away lightly, but I think the page is turning on internal combustion cars. It will be decades until they are gone, but people will look back at this as the decade that started it, and Tesla as the company that...

Musk's hint to 2nd row seats in Model X

I think this is an excellent point. By waiting a bit longer, we get a lot of knowledge from S real world data, as well as the new goodies mentioned above. For those of us who keep a car a long time (I'm on year 17.....) , getting it right is so much more important than getting it now.

Model X will have the same batteries as the Model S

I'm thinking that the weight savings from changing the form factor of the pack wouldn't be a big deal, but it would make it more difficult to use the same battery swap hardware. I think if they can cut out weight from batteries they will, but the "box" they are in will stay the same.

    Model X Subsite Updates

Obviously I hope you are right. They might, however, just be updating the Model S site and keeping the Model X component consistent. I think if there's one thing we know, its that we don't know!

Rear seat AV in Model X

I've followed the official info pretty closely and have not heard any mention of rear seat AV. Personally, not having it available would not be a big disappointment to me, as those systems seem dated quite rapidly. I'm all with you on power connections, AV inputs, etc. Those seem like quite...

GQ Reviews P85D: "Quick as a Bugatti Veyron"

Definitely agree that it is astounding that the Tesla can even be compared to a car costing an order of magnitude more. The 0.7 sec difference isn't negligible though. The quicker you get, the more each 0.1 sec means. See the informative graphic below....

NYTimes Article on Driver Assist/Autonomous Driving

Log In - The New York Times Seems to work even when I'm not logged in, YMMV. Interestingly, a photo credited to Delphi Automotive shows a rebadged Tesla Model S interior. On the driver's display next to the speedo it says what my aging eyes are interpreting as "Delphi System On". Intriguing...

    Model X rear

You know, a cool future projectn for the company might be an ultra-efficient long distance cruiser. Something with "Streamlined Body" shape above and low rolling resistance tires might have pretty incredible highway range. Since the BEV engineering doesn't require a hood, and a battery pack made...

Lessons from Model S to be applied to Model X

I think one of the things that us Model X reservers owe the Model S owners is that a lot of the bugs that had to be worked out were done on their cars. Don't get me wrong, I think the level of quality of Models S is very high, but I bet we Xers won't have some of the squeaks, drivetrain...

    Will Model X have 4G?

I am certainly hopeful for this and would willing to pay a premium if it were optional. Being connected/integrated is a big part of the appeal of a Tesla.
