Thanks for your input folks. I ended up going through insurance for both the damages. Paintless dent repair people mentioned that they can’t fix the deeper scratch. Hoping car looks perfect once it’s back.

I wasn’t at fault. A flying object on the freeway hit me and that scenario falls under comprehensive. I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that insurance will pay $4400 and not jack up my premium to recoup their money even if I wasn’t at fault.

They say it shouldn’t go up since it’s a not at fault comprehensive claim but who knows. Insurance companies seem to have a mind of their own.

The Tesla collision center rep mentioned that the paint chip on the quarter panel will start to rust since it is made of steel and not aluminum and will cost way more in the future. I’m conflicted if they’re just trying to sell or this is actually a concern.

Yeah it’s unfortunate :/ Would you folks recommend going through insurance and seeing if they’d be willing to replace the entire door for me? I feel like that’d be the cheapest and best option since it’d still cost me less than $1k and I get a brand new door.

I just got the AS4 and my efficiency went from 256wh/mi lifetime to 350wh/mi from MXM4 to AS4. I’ve only had it for about 200 miles but that’s a big hit. I’m really hoping this gets better over time.

Thanks for sharing these numbers and your input. I’m more concerned about efficiency than road noise. As long as a few folks can confirm that efficiency hit is less than 5-6% on the PS4S I’m fine with it.

I’m running OEM 235/45/18” right now. Planning on running the same for PS4S too. I’m guessing that will result in the highest efficiency?

5% is not that bad, I think I can live with that. I’ve heard road noise is loud on the CC+‘s? Would like to hear from folks about the efficiency for PS4S’s since snow isn’t a concern for me.

I really don’t see the point of getting existing used inventory. The price between used and new is almost negligible. I’m in a difficult situation here.

That would put me in a difficult situation because I know Telsa only does deliveries in the west coast during end of each quarter and that would be March and July for me and I'm hoping to get approval by mid April and my grant would have already expired by July :( What should I do?
