Yes after every car wash I do at home the WD-40 wears off and trim discoloration returns. I have not attempted any polish compound or anything like that.

I am also curious how they would wrap the rear triangle trim since it is actually part of the window??

Just had my car mobile detailed wash and wax. Trim came out severely discolored. Used the wieman stainless steel cleaner and it came right off. Not even 24 hours yet. Will update if it stays or not. My detailer said he will research this issue and see what can be done.

Honestly the MYLR is so much faster stock than anything I have ever had I have zero urge to get the acceleration boost. I actually keep it on chill almost 95% of the time to keep my range up.

Whatever bothers you should be inspected. Go into Tesla app and schedule a service. You will fill in check boxes with photos. Very easy. I had a handful of things looked at and a few corrected that where out of spec for free a day after I picked up the vehicle. You have 100 miles to report...

Also, I have never inspected a new car with a checklist like I did with my new MY. I am sure if I did this with other new cars I would have found something that wasn’t major. I looked at one of our German vehicles and it def has 1 panel gap that is larger than others. Never noticed it in 10 years.

I had what I thought was a small Panel gap. But deemed in spec. A missing grommet from inside wheel well and a piece of trim that wasn’t aligned inside. Fixed at SC

Just FYI carvana and vroom both gave a price $2000 higher than tesla. Check them out if interested. They come to you and pickup your vehicle.

If Tesla addressed there quality issues before customers arrived to pickup there vehicles it would eliminate the majority of criticism that they receive.

This sounds ridiculous. However, knowing VIN assignment is automatic, someone should have made sure that VIN wasn’t assigned until the car could actually be sold.

For those of us who got a vin and a delivery date of Today (which is already over to Friday May 28th) aren’t we technically supposed to get 3 business days for pickup? Wouldn’t that put us at Monday (Memorial day? So Tuesday?)
