Hi, just curious how the performance drop-off is progressing in the community? Did Tesla release an OTA fix, or is it still an issue where the horsepower drops as it gets a little cooler, or the battery % diminishes? still in two-minds whether to go M3P or M3LR (heart vs head!).

The business leases are galling in the variation. My manager can get the same vehicle for nearly £150 per month less than what I would pay. (I'm a manager too!).

I’m sensing that Zappi might be the better option! how long was the wait versus what was quoted? Did you use your own Electrician or a Zappi referred one? Also, is it obviously tamper proof? From what I’ve seen it could be possible for someone to press the buttons on the EV point?

OK, interest piqued! How long does it last/how does it charger? How secure is it? How does it pair/clone?

This is the same with VWs and Audis we've had in the past. Approaching a railway bridge with a low sun, and the car slams on the brakes thinking it will 'hit' the shadow.

It could be several things, most expected reason would be that the back is trying to achieve greater speed than the front, either through acceleration, lack of grip, poor suspension setup (incl. toe/camber) or bad tyres (incl. pressures).

Braking shouldn’t normally cause any lateral motion. If friction was either extreme high or low you’d get ABS to prevent unnecessary skidding. Makes you wonder if front was braking and rear motor was still in drive mode? Do you think you hit both pedals?

Don’t assume the business owner was logical or smart when it comes to these things. Court can sometimes bring surprises!

What is the caveat with Track Day Mode? Does it invalidate warranties? Or is it the equivalent of M-mode or Sports Mode on other cars (tunes suspension, sharpens throttle and steering, and in this case, tunes the car vicariously through the battery?).

Tesla continually develops and refines existing components even with just a few months between models. The Heatpump, being a relatively new addition to the M3 will undoubtedly have been through at least one refining iteration since the main poster bought his car. Perhaps wishful thinking, but...

The costs are insane. This was marketed as being lighter, cheaper and better environmentals than stand roofing methods (in the UK, shale roof tiles). At those costs it is around 400% more expensive than standard roofing shale tiles.

I suppose the big issue at the moment is that they are out of stock, and there’s huge silicon shortages across the world so no electronics can be made.

How bizarre - who was your lease with again? So your business lease company won't handle the delivery, and you could in theory collect it from a port or SC yourself?

Judging from the Tesla Shop it looks like i'm in no rush as they're out of stock, and on top of this, I don't have a VIN so I cannot place an order (ordered via Business Lease company, so I won't get confirmation for a long long time).

Well that is good to hear. There are no objects or foliage blocking our E-W roof facing to the sky. Only caveat is that the unused chimney is on the south-side of the roof, so that would potentially shade a different series of panels most of the day, much like a sundial.

The concern for me is if we get another car that isn't a Tesla. I.e. the missus swaps her ICE for a VW BEV, or if my next one isn't a Tesla. We will need to install another one won't we?
