The Mangaweka SC is actually one of my favourites when driving through. Roughly 2 hours from Wellington so the perfect stop, imho. If you haven’t tried their lasagna or meat pies, i highly recommend Hopefully Taihape becomes the non-Tesla option and Mangaweka stays open for Teslas only

Model 3 SR+ config. Based in Wellington with all the hills that really challenge overall efficiency. Original set lasted 37k, about 137 wh/km 2nd set was Michelin Premacy PS approx 38k and that increased overall to 141 wh/km I guess the Contis are more grippy = less efficient so far.

The reverse sounds is much more obvious than the forward sound. In wide open spaces i hardly hear the forward noise at all. The reverse works as it should which is to provide warning to oblivious pedestrians. I was told that the current SW is not configurable, its only on or off but knowing...

Yes i can talk via the app when sentry is on or via the boombox if i am in the car. The sound is robotic if that is what you were asking. 🤖

There is a sound emitted from the PWS for both forward and reverse. The forward sound deactivates at around 20kph and is noticeably quieter than the reversing sound. The external sound is like a spaceship 😂 and not beeping.

Raise a service request for ‘something else’ and state that you want to retrofit the PWS. The change in horn (eg fart) is only temporary while in P. It will default back to the normal horn spound when you are driving. None of the other features work while the car is moving.

Passed my first WoF at 93k kms $75 at Tesla Service in Welly. Even gave me a loan car to use.

Mine had the suspension knuckle replaced too, no cost on invoice just the itemised part.

That worries me, i’ve had both of the front suspension components replaced under warranty in 2021 and 2022 but i’m out of warranty at 3 years old. My original wof is due next month.

I noticed in the energy chart that Sentry used up 4.8% of the battery in 2 hours while parked however no sentry events recorded so its not like it was busy. That seems excessive so maybe something new.
