Not true at all. One of the metrics is even how often AP disengages because you ignore the warnings. In addition, I went over 100 miles this weekend, most of it on AP, and I can say that even phantom FCA and phantom Braking count against you while in AP.

Note what I actually said. I got the notification for the update without WiFi. Then I knew to connect to WiFi to download the update. My point was that you do not have to be connected to WiFi to get the notification.
