Faking the PLAID? Thought it was ALL about performance?

You got to be joking! There is very little cosmetics in the two models, what did you think would happen?

As a 54 year old guy who has a LR, badged as a PLAID, I can say if you unless you are a track/dragstrip person, the LR will suffice as more than you need.

The need to add the "PLAID" badge comes in 40 ,000 different ways, I have always been one to make more of what I have without giving up my cover. Tesla made this easy. Sorry if you don't appreciate it, glad to know of your history, although I could expand much, ill just leave it as a $150...

Correct, except "PLAID" if you like that...at least mine did!

"DUAL MOTOR" is the same font and size as "PLAID" So for anyone with some mechanical skills, pretty easy to upgrade 40k. I apologize to those who bought the badge but will never use it, like me, the car is for 52 year old wife. :)

Looks like they over built Plaids, so they can be had quickly. LR was cheap...till the $10K increase. As I said before Model S/X won't make Tesla, real competition will me in the 3/Y price range in next few years. 5k would be a BIG number for MS in Q3.
