Hey there - I actually ordered online and had home delivery (I live in Bellevue). A few hours after I received my VIN, I got a text to schedule delivery online...there was only the home delivery option for one date (9/28) with a few time slots. Congrats on your Y!

Congrats - our Y was also delivered this morning. I never got any texts from Tesla until after my VIN, so I was skeptical when my EDD changed to 9/26 to 9/30 a few days ago. Lo and behold I received a VIN a couple days after and then delivery today! :)

FWIW my original EDD when I ordered on 6/6/21 was mid-July to late August...it was off by a month.

FWIW I know three ppl that got Y's delivered in the past several months...two came with PPF and mud flaps while the other didn't have either.

I'm guessing you'll get your VIN last minute similar to myself and many others.

This. Back in 2019 I had home delivery for a Model 3 and I didn't pay until delivery day.. Same deal this time around...I got a text just now to "prioritize your Model Y delivery by completing your final payment task as soon as possible" but I'm not going to until delivery day.

I don't think this is the case...I had home delivery for a Model 3 back in 2019 and I didn't pay until I inspected the car.

I have delivery scheduled for Tuesday 9/28 and I received a text today to payoff the car online...I'm going to wait until I'm able to inspect it though (did the same thing with my Model 3 back in 2019).

Be patient and trust the process...I was inside my EDD range 6 or 7 times (see my signature...). You'll get a VIN soon enough!

Funny my SA gave me this response (EDD is 9/26 - 9/30):

Same deal here...my EDD is currently 9/26-9/30. I emailed my SA and he said based on their internal estimate I will "likely get the Model Y next week." Not holding my breathe..

Nice!! I'm hoping the same happens for me...what was your EDD just before you received the VIN? My EDD changed to 9/26-9/30 this morning.

I don't think they prioritize based on payment type...I've been set to cash since my 6/6 OD and no VIN. EDD front-end date keeps getting pushed out when I get inside the range...changed to 9/26-9/30 this morning but I'm not holding my breath.

I keep hitting my EDD window and then the front end date gets pushed out a few days: just updated to 9/22 - 9/30 this morning.

Ok that's good to know - congrats on the Performance Y! My neighbor two doors down just got his blue Performance Y delivered last Friday. Took a ride in it and almost regretting not ordering a P...still couldn't justify paying $10k more though. :)

You ordered a Performance so you can probably expect delivery soon. My neighbor ordered a blue Performance Y in late July and had his delivery a few days ago...the Tesla rep who delivered the car said the wait time for a Performance is only ~1 month.

Thanks for sharing - I had a very similar experience selling a 2019 Model 3 to Shift...got an online quote for $9k more than Tesla's trade-in value and they came out the next day to pickup the car...funds transferred to our bank account 2 days later.
