    Brake release for service?

Due to my nearest Tesla SC being >2 hours away, I took my 2021 MYLR to my local Goodyear and asked them to do a tire rotation and caliper cleaning. They did the rotation but told me they couldn't figure out how to release the brakes while the car is on the lift so they couldn't work on the...

Michelin CrossClimate 2 finally coming to Model Y size

255/45R19 104V XL BSW. I don't know any more about what that means than what Google tells me, lol. My next long road trip is in July and I'll try and remember to post consumption numbers. What I can tell you from my long trip a couple of weeks ago is that the ABRP estimate, the Tesla nav...

Michelin CrossClimate 2 finally coming to Model Y size

We just had our 2021 MYLR changed to the CrossClimate 2. We didn't like the stock tires and had been contemplating a change, and then a couple of weeks ago, a humongous chunk of metal in one of the stock tires accelerated the decision, lol. I took the car to Discount Tire as I had heard a lot...

    CCS Adapter for North America

I ordered mine on the 10th and hadn't heard anything so I contacted them last night. They wrote right back and said please be patient as they have seen Tesla SK take up to two weeks to fulfill the order on their end.

    CCS Adapter for North America

Personal opinion, I don't think they would do this. (a) this would only increase the number of stranded vehicles and in turn increase the call volume to roadside assistance; (b) those CCS adapters are already sold and are of no use to Tesla now. If Tesla is upset with supply chain challenges...

    CCS Adapter for North America

I'd like to add to this. I'm a (non-automotive) engineer. From where I see it, the "chip shortage" affects every commodity imaginable, not just chips, and it is continuing to get worse, not better. Don't underestimate the supply chain as a factor to all the negative and unfortunate things...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Sorry for the new guy question. By "yo-yoing" do you mean driving away from and back to the Supercharger? We had a situation a couple of months ago where our 2021 MYLR was cold soaked to single digits below zero Fahrenheit overnight, followed by a 15-minute mostly Interstate highway drive to...

    Supercharger - Altoona, IA

Four of six stalls are lit up today. One of those four has the cord tied around the top of the station. I didn’t try that one because the adjacent stall was in use. Still getting the “reduced service” message on the nav.

    TireRack mobile service?

Has anyone used TireRack's mobile service for a tire change? I've never yet had tires done on my Y so I'm not sure how paranoid to be about the lifting requirements. It seems like this would be a really convenient option, if they can be trusted to do the job right.

Very slow performance on Theater apps

Hello all. I tried to search for this several different ways and I didn't come up with anything... 2021 MY AWD LR, took delivery in February. (I believe this would imply HW3?) Theater worked well at first but after some software update, unfortunately I'm not sure exactly which one...
