I received a call from Tesla this morning. I answered with trepidation as my delivery appointment is tomorrow, 11/29, at 1:00. It turned out to be an automated system calling to confirm my appointment. Yay! I hope you get you get your car on 12/3.

My advice is to call your SA or the toll-free number and ask them. I did that and they said I should get a VIN within a few weeks and I did. My OD is 7/23 and I have an appt to pick it up on 11/29. Good luck!

I had no problems. I wired the down payment to Tesla. My bank refunded the $15 fee. My credit union sent a cashiers check to Tesla and gave me a copy of the check and the overnight tracking info. Tesla credited my account immediately! It was all done in one day.

Yes! I live in Michigan and Tesla isn’t licensed to sell here so I have to pay before they will ship the car into the state. I got my VIN on Saturday and paid for the car today. My delivery estimate is 11/25 to 12/1.

So frustrating. The SC called me last week to say I would get a VIN by the end of the month. On Wednesday my EDD changed from 11/21-12/5 to 2/8-3/8. I sent an email and they replied “still think I’ll get a VIN by the end of the month but no guarantees.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, I completed it in July - confirmed by the SC. In fact just yesterday the SC sent me an email saying my delivery is estimated for late Nov or early Dec. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I asked my SA about this very thing. He said I would have to pay the current price ($3k more than the price on 7/23) but it wouldn’t affect my place in the queue. I am just going add a tow hitch after I get the car.
