while not the ideal option, you need to manually go into your Model Y charging settings and lower the Amps to 24 when you are charging. Otherwise, yes, it will attempt to draw more amps than your circuit can handle at continuous load. 🔥

It sounds about right to me. My understanding is that the Y gets around 230'ish miles highway driving . 75mph So if you have ~70 miles remaining at the end of a 150 mile highway commute, that sounds spot on from the range tests I've seen online.
