12v doesnt stay powered for ecooler even with sentry mode on.

According to the user manual power should be available at the low voltage power socket whenever the vehicle is considered "awake". That was also the behavior in my previous MX.

12v doesnt stay powered for ecooler even with sentry mode on.

Update on this: Looks like the USB-C ports remain active when leaving the car with Sentry Mode enabled. If your power station can charge via USB then this solves the problem.

It's not worth your time unless you make less than minimum wage. It costs me around $5 to charge at home while I sleep.

TPMS tire location wrong after rotation

I am having a similar problem on my MX with Bluetooth sensors. I recently swapped into my winter tires/wheels which have the original sensor that the car came with. These worked fine last winter. However, now only two of the sensors are connecting and they are both mapped to the wrong wheel...

Original 22" Turbine Wheels on a 2023 MX

The ride is quiet and smooth as far as road noise is concerned. I came from a 2019 Raven with 20" wheels and I cant say that I notice much difference on the ride quality. Could be the updated suspension on the refresh. These are the ELECT version Scorpion Zero, made specifically for heavy...

You could, but that will cost you money too. You can find cheaper TPMS sensors on eBay. Save your other wheels in case you need a backup.

Chuck Rack 4 (or 6!) bike rack for Model X - best option to avoid hitch mount overload?

Given that the tongue weight is 350lbs for >=22" wheels and 500lbs for <22" wheels, I suspect that it has something to do with driving dynamics rather than hitch limitations. That said, I have 22" wheels and drove with 4 bikes from NYC to Saratoga Springs, NY and back with no issues (aside from...

Chuck Rack 4 (or 6!) bike rack for Model X - best option to avoid hitch mount overload?

I have previously reached out to Tesla for clarification. Looks like they have now updated the user manual to the following: We can do some basic math. The hitch receiver is 8" long, therefore we have a total length of 32" (8" + 24"). Since we can have up to 120 lbs at 32", thats a total of...

12v doesnt stay powered for ecooler even with sentry mode on.

I am also having this problem. I use a 350w/h Anker battery as a buffer. Now that the warm weather is here I started noticing that the battery is not charging when I leave the car. This worked flawlessly in my old Raven MX with Sentry Mode on but sadly it no longer works. Whats the best way...

Model X snowboard rack for more than 4 snowboards?

My two Blackfin XL inflatable paddle boards fit nicely in the subtrunk along with all of their accessories. I have traveled all over the county with them, from NY to Grand Teton, Glacier, Lake Tahoe, Lake Powell, Florida... best purchase ever!

Model X snowboard rack for more than 4 snowboards?

There are too many things that can go wrong with a suction rack solution. In addition to the issues that you mention, you would also have to trust that the glass itself is secure enough to sustain the forces. It is also not practical if you have passengers in the rear.

Model X snowboard rack for more than 4 snowboards?

I would love to find something better my self. The Tesla rack is a real PITA at superchargers and the boards get really dirty.

Original 22" Turbine Wheels on a 2023 MX

I am not sure. My friend who I swapped sensors with, was using the refresh 20" rims on his Raven, and he didn't say anything about dash lights. I wouldn't want to drive around without a TPMS though. It is really easy to not notice a flat tire on this car until its too late. No spacers needed...

Original 22" Turbine Wheels on a 2023 MX

holiday update and xbox controller via bluetooth not working

Only the 3rd and 4th gen Xbox controllers support bluetooth. However it does not appear to work with the latter. Tire recommendation for 2017 model X p90d

I have the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 on my 20" wheels. These are my first winter tires, so I have nothing to reference them to, but based on a bunch of research at that time, the Blizzaks were highly recommended. As one of my first test, I pulled over on a patch of ice in an uphill then floored...

Scratched my new X front rim :(

I did sand it down to remove the large burrs. I then used a primer/filler spray to fill the smaller scratches followed by more sanding to make it smooth. I finally applied several coats of Rust-Oleum 248928 High Performance Wheel Spray Paint, 11 oz, Matte Black. It wasn't a perfect match which...

Scratched my new X front rim :(

I just re-finished all 4 of my 22" turbine wheels with a couple of cans of spray paint. Body shop quoted me $150/wheel. Since I like to DIY everything, I put that money towards some tools. Floor jack, jack stands, torque wrench, breaker bar. Great investment! I can now swap my winter/all season...

Thoughts on adding additional support to a bike rack to overcome the 120 lbs weight limit?

Below is the question and response that I got from Tesla when asking about clarification on the 120 lbs limit. My question: Their response: Their response was helpful, but it left me with more questions. For example 120 lb at 632mm (25 inches) produces less torque than 500 lb would at 8...

1UP Bike Rack as a Snowboard Carrier?

1UP Bike Rack as a Snowboard Carrier?

My rack came in today and I got a chance to test it out. Looks like I can turn this into an excellent snowboard carrier with just a couple of minor modifications to prevent the boards from scratching the rack. I will have to source some kind of a rubber strip for the bottom track and the inside...

1UP Bike Rack as a Snowboard Carrier?

I ordered a 1UP bike rack to replace my Yakiam/Tesla rack which has a snowboard attachment. However, 1UP does not sell any accessories that would allow me to carry snowboards. As far as I can tell from pictures, it seems that it should be able to hold two snowboards in each bike tray. Has...

Thoughts on adding additional support to a bike rack to overcome the 120 lbs weight limit?

I just did a comparison between the Tesla Rack with max weight as per spec VS the 1Up Heavy Duty with the same load. You can see that the Tesla rack imparts twice the amount of torque as the 1Up tray. By this measure you can clearly carry more weight on the tray rack due to the shorter lever arm.

Thoughts on adding additional support to a bike rack to overcome the 120 lbs weight limit?

Same thing can happen with a trailer. Imagine going over a bump with a 5 ton trailer and the amount of force that would put on the car or carrying 5 ton up a steep hill. Again, I don't believe that it has everything to do with the hitch not being able to take the force, it is about vehicle...
