You may be right that its still a rejection VIN, but the VIN# points to it being recent build

That VIN # doesn't indicate a car build in Dec or Early Jan. Thats a new off the line car. MY Performance people have been saying the same thing, that the Intel's are coming back in new production related vehicles. I was hoping they were the outlier, but it seems like its in all the lines now.

Oof. I was really hoping all the new VIN's would have Ryzen. This definitely is a potential dilemma for a few of us.

Seems like AMD's are a pretty sure bet on these higher VIN numbers. Is anyone seeing Intel's anymore on any VIN's over 160?

Almost the exact same scenario here. Had a hold until the 15th, got the "put up or shut up by Feb 10th" email overnight. I will release a hold in a few days and hope for good juju and the AMD MCU.

I don't think this is accurate in all cases, maybe this is the unwritten rule they ask the SA's to adhere by, but its not enacted across the board. I've been able to place holds after my 90day order date, I know of others on here as well doing the same.

I'm super curious if all these upcoming Ryzen deliveries end up panning out. My SA went from "all new cars have Ryzen" to me prodding him to double check and then eventually coming back with "Oh sorry, its Intel". I hope nobody gets the short end of the stick here, but its interesting to see...

The model 3 crowd is in a tough spot. Seemingly very few if any deliveries this year have included the AMD, while its becoming more and more common with the Y. While I don't think it will take 6 months to switch over, it also doesn't seem like its right around the corner for the 3 owners either.

Take a look at the username column for those entires "Sike you thought" "Doesn't have one" and "This list is fake" . While this list was well intended, I think it should never be used as any source of truth. I don't trust any of the info on it.

The reliability factor of SA information varies wildly from SA to SA and maybe suspect in general. However, there is a trend on this thread and others of SA's being able to relay that information back to you. How they are determining this, how accurate their determination is, etc, is open to...

Tesla's logistics are a complete mystery, but I wouldn't be surprised if we follow the geography trend of previous quarters and a bunch CA orders get bumped to end of quarter / March timeframe. Mine went from a Jan 12-22 ETA to late march overnight.

That sheet has had some wild information in the past. While well intended, I am not sure if we should use it as any source of truth.

My SA is definitely on the same talking points as both of the above. Not only did he state that all new orders should be coming with the Ryzen's but that they can also verify via the VIN once its assigned. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but the new messaging does seem consistent.

How is the SA determining whether it has the Ryzen or not? Unless it was there already on the lot?

Thats an interesting theory. Someone was trying to track all this, but the sheet didn't contain trim or color options, plus it seemed full of either bogus or mistaken entries and ultimately never worked well as a source of truth...

This seems to batted around each time there's been any kind of substantial upgrade, but more often than not that retrofit option never materializes. I agree people should just enjoy their cars, but nobody should be assuming any retrofit option.

If you have a VIN, yes you are unmatched from your current one. Your VIN goes to someone else.
