Same experience. Called the 800 tesla number finally and spoke with a rep that was quite helpful. Never was able to ever speak with my SA in WPB. Texts better.
Day 257, picked her up this morning. All fine but for two small gap issues that they'll fix. So all smiles so far..
.Will be saying adios to this thread, and hope you get your vehicles soon...good luck/happy trails - where ever your journeys take you....
After 8 months and 15 days I expect I'm going to be pretty liberal with my discerning eye toward issues. Picking up tomorrow mid morning in West Palm, the real rain expected later in day I believe. Altho there are reports (such as yours) of issues beyond the pale, I have also read numerous...
For a 2019 Q5 got offers of 31 / 33 (2) / 35 / and 40 from respectively CarGurus, Carvana/Vroom, KBB and Carmax....oh yeah, Tesla came in at 34. Wide variations, suggest folks try a number of them to keep mining for gold.....
I frankly think your delay is your location. Noticed multiple washington or oregon orders not yet fulfilled or VINd....suspect they are hitting East Coast currently and
West coast the last six weeks of quarter hard.....
Not sure if you all are experiencing wide variations in sell your car quotes, but I am. For a '19 Q5 w/low miles I got 31k from CarGurus; 35k from KBB; Carvana 33k; Vroom 34K, and the winner - Carmax at 39.8k. Took the Carmax one but I suppose the lesson here is tickle those keys for more than a...
I had my insurance company add the Tesla to the insurance with a start date of 5/31, which she said can be easily adjusted as needed...my del appt was finally made this morning for 6/3.
Very curious. I wonder what the forum's take is on VINs: are they created at beginning of build, or end? And generally what is the number of days between getting a VIN and getting a car?
I know the shortage of ECMs for the charging point was a big issue like 2-4 weeks ago, was wondering if it had abated. Be interesting if you do visit the SC to guage if the parking lots are bulging with Tesla's ... then I guess we'll have our answer.
So today, day 241 - 8 months to the day - I join those of you that have received a VIN (NF449xxx). I see also some posts about the tow option perhaps being a slowdown...I have long suspected this. But I and at least another post I saw today received VINs with tow, so maybe help has arrived...
Feel ya...its 8 for me day after tomorrow...noticing more long waits in Oregon and Washington lately....interesting. Bit of jitter around Tesla usually shipping to far off locations first half of a quarter, which means we need to get our deliveries relatively soon methinks....and on it goes.
Am also East Coast. OD was 9/18. Same build except 5 seater and black interior. My EDD also moved out today, from 5/14-28 to 5/27-6/10. June date gives one a slight quiver, since East Coast probably will see zero cars last month of a qtr. We're pushing 8 months.........and on it...
Wonder if there's a weird geographical thing going on...ie, more East Coast first half of quarter etc....their scheduling system at times appears randomly random..............
Hmmm. Starting to become concerned...have an OD of 9/18 with a EDD of last half of May. Seeing many happy posts the last week of VIN receipt, and almost all have an OD later in Sept than mine. Could a tow hitch be slowing the show down that much? With extra $$ for MSM (back then), and 20s and...
Go to the September 2021 ordering thread or the California Waiting Room thread to commiserate.....you will find your best info there...i ordered mid Sept, current EDD is May....
yes, EDDs appear to be just breadcrumbs to give us tortured souls an order of magnitude of when we might possibly conceivable could perhaps receive our car....
Well, I suspect a good many of us on the East Coast fit this bill. I noticed most of the VINs received last 3 weeks of month were West coast, assumption being for revenue maximization and impending Austin production. I ordered 9/18, msm 20s tow blk interior. Am in So Florida. Current date is...
So shifting the concept a bit, does one think that means those of us that picked MSM color when it was $1k, can now change our orders to say, white, get price lowered a grand, then switch back to MSM a thousand richer since its now a no extra cost color?
It could be quiet for another reason as well. Perhaps many of the remaining Sept orders are from folks like me that are in geographically remote to Fremont spots and not good candidates for jamming deliveries into end of quarter. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the remaining Sept...
