yes, thats what we usually recommend our buyers to do. otherwise the tape will loss over time. and if the car is already ceramic coated, we would recommend owners use soap to wash the car, and then use alcohol to remove the coat on the install area.

I believe its a rear, the front one we didn't have any issue with from the beginning. and the rear is the one that has been made us taking so long on making this.
