And I still love my Model Y, do I miss ICE ? Nope not a bit ! Never had to queue for a SC and when the day comes so what as I have saved countless hours not driving to the petrol station.
Love the self driving ability of the car and would never buy anything in the future without it, Oh and...
just seen here that Tesla have lowered interest rate to 3.9%, so my car would now cost me £17 per month lesss than when I bought in March last year.
Oh well at least I got parking sensors ...
doing over 12k miles per year, living in Leeds I can go to either east or west coast and back home easily on 90% charge and charge from home at7.5p pkwh. Used fast chargers a couple of times when doing the London airports but no big deal so far and still cheaper total trip than my old ICE...
bought mine in March 2022, looking at prices I paid about £900 more than now. That said I got parking sensors so happy with car as would have paid that much extra to have them and when I do trade its respective, may be the trade of mine will be less but so will be price of new car
looking to change to AS tyres when I need to replace my existing MY tyres. Is there any comparison in terms of wear between summer and AS tyres.
Just think if rubber a bit softer on AS they will wear out quicker but I could be wrong ?
thanks as that how I used to charge car, setting the car schedule to 11:30pm helped me avoid all the times I would forget to stop the car charging - just strange that last night it decided to charge earlier, all I can think off was the temp be so low, 4 degrees C !
can anyone help, I have car set to start charging at 11:30pm but allow Octopus intelligent to override - just looked at car through Tesla app at 11:10am and noticed battery was warming and charging. Octopus schedule was set to charge at 11:30pm and so was Tesla app - So how come it started...
Ok, been on a long trip today and got home about 5pm with 16% charge left, as I am on Octopus I won't charge the car until 11:30pm.
Is this OK or given the low state of charge should I charge straight away, not sure if leaving it for 6 or 7 hours with less than 20% charge is detrimental to...
Thanks all, too be clear I get in car, foot on brake, into drive and set of driving then 10mins before car systems initialise !
Have raised a service request but they are not helping, first saying it’s normal and have delayed appointment whilst further remote diagnostics carried
Car on latest...
last 2 evenings have gotten in car and noticed first the auto dim screen didn't work, unable to use voice controls and volume control didn't work. both times it the car around 10 mins ti initialise before it was fully operational - anyone else noticed this or have found a solution ?
Thanks, I left it to see what would happen and this morning I am 15% short as predicted- certainly something to watch out for and adjust as you advise !
any help appreciated ! I have just received my charging schedule for tonight and it gives 3 slots that total 2 hours however my car requires 32% which I estimate would take around 3 hours - will IO just continue charging at the cheap rate until my limit is reached ?
good question - my car need 25% to hit limit set however I have been given the schedule below - my maths suggests I need 2 and half hours to reach this yet the schedule suggests 4 hours so would I get the last 'slot' at the cheap rate for whole house ?
so as IO started charging my car at 10:30pm tonight ( checked ) does that result in all electric being used during that period will be charged at the Off peak rate ?
great bonus if true...
ok ive read all these posts and very helpful. ive just switched to IO today and set my car to charge on the IO app to 100% by 4am and the car set at 80%. I have been scheduled to start charging from 10:30pm until 4am
So my question is does this result in me getting Off Peak electric for my whole...

so did 241 mainly motorway miles today using 90% and recon 100% would have got me 268miles - AC on all the time, Spotify, kids charging phones, 4 in car, bags / coats in boot and not going less than 70 😁 is this good for a Tesla then ?
not sure which is best to consider, on the face of it Intelligent with a longer off peak period seems the better option ?
household usage around 5400 a year and car expect about 3000 a year...
so I took my MY for a few bits sorting today and was given an M3P as a loaner. thoughts on this model compared to my Model Y;
M3 much smaller, no heated steering wheel, not good in the back even for my 14 year old daughter, no auto boot and overall lack of space there.
BUT - WOW does this M3P...
the 'whine' seems to have approved with additional miles on the clock but replaced with the terrible creaking from the roof above front windscreen which appears to be a common problem in the sun shine !
took my trade in to WBAC, offered me over £1k less than advertised price which included defects, to be honest in not worth the travel time and much better options out there...
I love the fact I can get in my car and without storing songs / albums on a memory stick and I can just say play ( what ever artist / song ) and it plays it, magic 👍
a good polish and 2 coats of wax, looks just as good as any other ceramic coated car ive seen and doesn't take that long to do yourself but loads cheaper
when I got my insurance set up about a month ago there was a good number of companies showing reasonable prices, admiral for one and I secured a quote just over £500, however if I search now they say none available or maybe show one or 2 companies around the £2k mark - Have I missed something...
