I’m through Navy Federal. It varies by state when you can hand over the check. Some states require that it they have it before delivery day. I’m in WA and my plan is to bring the check to my delivery appointment so that I can get them to help make sure that I don’t bork up the process. 🤪

You can tell your insurance company which day you want the coverage to switch over, and you need to comply with your state's requirements before you can set a delivery appointment.

VINs show up in the middle of the night, middle of the day, weekend, weekday, whenever. There is no rhyme nor reason to any of it that anyone has been able to identify.

OK, Trade-in Valuation didn't change at all from January. Then again, the odometer has only gone up about 250 miles on a car over 19 years old. 😆 Now, they need to update the MVPA correctly, since it's now showing a balance that's negative of the trade-in value. o_O

There are folks who have posted VINs as high as 201xxx already, so thousands of cars were built and assigned after this one was built, but before it was assigned to me. That strongly suggests that either it was rejected by someone, or there was something causing the delay in its assignment.

Woot! I just got a text saying that my VIN has been assigned. 198xxx so it was clearly born at least a few days ago. EDD now 8-12 March.

You ordered 3 days after I did, but we have been leap-frogging each other's delivery windows the whole time. Here's hoping the next bump finally comes with a ragglefraggle VIN. Biggest difference is that you've gotten a Trade-In text, and I haven't.

If you have not placed any holds, you need to call your SA or send a text, because nearly all people who ordered that far back already have their cars, and those who don't either placed a hold, or something is missing in their account and is holding up delivery without them knowing.

There is no “normally”. 🤣 (To me, after being in this thread for a month+) it seems like if you don’t already have a VIN before the first day of your window, you can expect a bump of your EDD window by some amount.
