For anyone who's had home delivery, how does that work? How far in advance do they let you know of a more specific time slot? So far I've only been given an 8am-8pm window by Tesla, and they've said I'll be informed when the driver is on their way

This period between VIN/registration plate text and the collection date goes so slowly! Are there any other comms from Tesla in between which might help break it up? I've been spending my time tracking the ship my car was on, but now that that's offloaded in Southampton...not sure what else to...

When Tesla texts you the number plate, they also also have a sentence in there saying "Need insurance? Visit ts.la/insureGB" (or whichever link is relevant)

This was my reasoning exactly. I'm being delivered to in London, earliest date offered was 27th Aug. Same logic of MC and GS arrive in Southampton too early. The timing of the 'ITUS seemed more appropriate.

I had this exact same thought. My conclusion was Titus, as Mr M expects the Titus to be in Southampton on 21st August, whereas the Morningg Chorus reaches Southampton a week earlier. The transporter time would have been too long if my car was on the Morning Chorus. With yours, I’d guess the...

This is not true - my order was placed in Feb, M3RWD and is scheduled for delivery in September. I have a VIN.

Tesla chat support just told me that the reg gets assigned 10 days before the delivery date. My question - if I am taking delivery on 3rd September, does that mean it'll be a 22 plate, or a 72 plate? (UK)

Text from Tesla this morning. Delivery originally offered as 27th August, shifted to 3rd Sept for various reasons. Suggests that my car is on the Titus.

Does anyone remember where Morning Chorus was on her journey when they got texted a VIN? I’m trying to extrapolate to when texts for Titus might be sent out

I spoke to Tesla support just now, asking if there's a VIN assigned as my EDD from my lease company is early September. They basically said they have no idea where the lease companies get their EDD from given Tesla have it as blank until it's you're assigned a car.

Does the VIN checker here now show your VIN? Or is that only if the car is listed in your Tesla account i.e. not until delivery for lease cars?

Ahh! I'm waiting for that 2nd ship to the UK. I don't think my M3RWD is on the Morning Chorus as I haven't received a VIN yet. EDD is still sticking at early September, according to Tusker

Exactly the same scenario here. Rwd m3 ordered in early feb. My lease company provided edd has stayed at early September for about a month now. I spoke to Tesla recently and they said they’re aiming to fulfil orders from the start of this year in august/September

I spoke to Tesla yesterday and they said that all lease customers' EDD was showing as unknown on their system, but this wasn't unexpected. They seemed to give the indication that there would be a lot of deliveries in August/September.

I have heard though that they hold on to cars in the last 2 weeks of August, so that the new reg can be place on the car in September to increase the value.

How freqently does the UK get a shipment?

M3 RWD white/black, sport wheels, ordered 10th feb. Currently shows as September. Hopefully that stays or moves forwards!

I was told similar, with Tesla and the lease company timelines disagreeing. I think perhaps Tesla are being quite conservative in their estimates? Makes sense it's pushed out by a quarter, due to a few months of reduced production. Pushed out by half a year is a bit extreme

You're not wrong! Tusker support told me they receive a weekly spreadsheet from Tesla with the EDDs!

Similar spec with Tusker, ordered around similar times. What I was told on the Tesla online chat was that Tusker have a tendency to ask them to hold off on delivery until the new reg comes out if the car arrives at the dealer mid-late August.

Same here, ordered a "stock car" through Tusker in early March. M3RWD white/black/sport. My status on the Tusker site is showing as "In transit to dealer", with EDD as early August. Yours?

When did you get given your collection point? When the dealer contacts you, or prior to that?

From the sounds of it, lots more Model Y VINs being received than Model 3s, especially RWD.
