This problem still exists. I just called Tesla about it. I didn't know about this thread before I called. Whenever I summon my Model Y with the key fob, I don't need to enter my PIN to drive.

The PPF that Tesla provides is a small section on the rear doors. It's the same PPF they sell in the online store.

Follow up... Mine didn't have the mud flaps and PPF, but I was able to bring it in to a Service Center and have them installed for free.

Bit the bullet today. Tesla called at 5pm today telling me there was a MSM MYLR available about an hour away from me, but I had to pick it up by 7pm. I ended up going for it, and have a nice new Austin-built MYLR/MSM/Black/19"/No Tow/EAP. I picked it up in the dark so I'll have to wait till the...

One strange thing to note... the MSM MYLR was built back in June. Not sure why it hasn't sold yet. Tesla didn't say that it was a demo, but I also didn't ask.

Tesla just called me and it sounds like there are 2 MYLRs available in the Chicagoland area. There is a MSM/19"/white interior available at Westmont. There is also a Black/20"/black interior, but I did not ask where that one is located.

I'm on my third 2-week EDD. I was always under the impression that 2-week EDDs were accurate, but that is definitely not the case.

I'm guessing you may receive yours before me. I have an EDD of Oct 6 - Oct 20, but I've never been contacted by Tesla about a trade-in. My OD was 1/26/22, for a MYLR/Blue/Black/19"/Tow/No FSD. In August I removed the Tow and added EAP.

Just called Schaumburg. They said they didn't have a Blue MYLR 7. However they do have a Red MYLR 7 with black interior and 20" wheels.

It's not showing up as available (per my SA). I tried to grab it.

I'm surprised you got a Fremont build in NC. Gives me hope I may get a VIN soon as Fremont had tons of Model Ys yesterday. Austin just seems to be going slow right now.

It seems like those that are getting Fremont builds have been getting VINs, but not a lot of VINs seem to be coming out of Austin in the past week.

Based on a search on waitingfortesla.com it looks like a lot of MYP purchases are falling through.

Sorry to hear. I saw that Austin is making Blue MYLRs with 19" wheels on some of those recent drone videos. I'm right around the same time as you with an EDD of Oct 6-20. Guess Illinois will be getting Blue MYLRs with 19" wheels next month.

Delivery times are getting shorter. Now you can get a MYP within weeks of ordering. A big part of the value of used Teslas was that you could avoid a long wait. The shorter the wait for a new Tesla, the less valuable a used Tesla becomes.

A lot of orders may be falling through. There are now 8 MYPs and 23 Model 3s available in the U.S. based on waitingfortesla.com. Typically there are 0 Model Ys and 0 Model 3s available.

$9 for 72 miles?! That sounds like roughly $0.50/kwh, which sounds really expensive. I thought Superchargers were usually around $0.25/kwh.

I don't get how VIN assignments work. Never bought a Tesla before so I have no idea how they prioritize these things. I always thought a 2 week window meant you were close, but I'm now on my 3rd 2 week window without a VIN or even a trade-in text. Does anyone know how to get a VIN from Tesla?

Since you got the trade in text, I'm guessing this is the EDD bump right before VIN. This happened to someone else on one of these forums and they got their VIN the next morning after the EDD bump.

What is the deal with these Model Ys at Austin that aren't being lined up to go on a truck? Are they waiting for an inspection? Or charging? Also, it looks like all the Models Ys that were lined up to go on trucks are gone.

I'm surprised then. I assume yours will be coming out of Austin, and I'm almost positive mine will as well. It seems like Austin built a bunch of MYLRs with tow packages late August/early Sept. Now, it seems like they're building a bunch with 20" wheels. I'm surprised that none of those batches...

Same here, got bumped to October. I'm guessing it's the 19" wheels. It seems like late August/early Sept was the time for tow packages, and now is the time for 20" wheels. Hopefully they make some 19" MYLRs next month so we don't get bumped again.

They didn't give you the opportunity to change your configuration to those wheels?

I just talked to my SA. I guess the no deliveries in the 1st month of the quarter only applies to Models S, X, and 3 as Fremont sends them out to Europe in the 1st month. Since Model Ys are built everywhere, deliveries can happen any month.

My EDD just moved to 10/6 - 10/20. Unfortunately Tesla doesn't typically deliver in the first month of the quarter, so I guess it'll be November or December.

Wow! I'm surprised any financial institution is willing to do that, especially with the Fed hiking rates at every meeting.

An approval can be good for 30-90 days, but an interest rate is usually only good for 30 days.

I saw your post so I was really hoping for a VIN today, but no luck. December would be fine if I could just lock in financing.

Oh no! I'm 6 days out and worried (EDD 9/20 - 10/4). I'm sorry to hear you've entered the window without a VIN. Perhaps this quarter isn't our quarter. I just hope there aren't many more rate hikes before December's end-of-quarter delivery rush.

Supposedly it will. Subscribers can request access to the beta, but I'm not sure if any of them have been granted it. Once it's released fleet wide, that should include subscribers as well.
