My V5C took about 1 week to arrive. There is a "proof of registration" document which should be available in your Tesla account after you take delivery - I used this for my London CC exemption application (which was approved next day).

Was it expensive and in your opinion, how would that look on a Pear White MYP?

Collected my MYP from Staines today. Vehicle was in perfect condition except for what looked like a small scuff on passenger side skirting. Reported it to the delivery staff who suggested it might be glue residue from when the protective wrapping was removed on arrival. They sprayed a solution...

Have you already received your vehicle registration? If so, please give details on how you got this info from Tesla. I need this to organise my insurance with Admiral.

Looks like GLOVIS SUMMIT is almost at the mouth of the Gulf of Aden.

So I have an insurance quote that I’m happy with (Admiral). Now waiting for a vehicle registration registration number to be assigned before I proceed.

GLOVIS SUMMIT has left Singapore (refuelling stop) and is due in Southampton around 15/16 Nov. 🛳️ 🚘 update:

The App says: We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment.

When you say deposit, do you mean the outstanding balance due?

Does anyone have previous experience with the Tesla delivery process? Specifically, when are vehicle registration numbers assigned? I presume that we need this to purchase insurance ahead of delivery.

VIN visible on desktop using Chrome extension. (not on iOS app). Only paid reservation fee(£100) at time of ordering (Day 1). My Tesla account says "Next Steps: we are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment" So I'm going to wait until they contact...

That happened to me too. I called them up and changed it back to Staines, no problem.

It's also reflected in the web UI. Same wording.

My Tesla app now says Please pay off your remaining balance prior to delivery. When I click continue, I can see Tesla's bank details where I need to wire the balance. I'm going to wait for a VIN before I make any payment.

Called Tesla this morning to change my collection centre back to Staines. Tesla agent confirmed that RHD MYP are only coming from Shanghai and that we should expect VINs in the next few weeks. Deliveries are still expected in Dec. I asked about the constantly changing EDDs and she said that we...

Also, Q4 global production/deliveries needs to be in 450K range for Tesla to meet their target of 50% YOY growth so I think they are firing on all cylinders (electric motors) to get as many vehicles delivered (Oct-Dec).

I suspect that you are correct. Ships destined for UK from Shanghai dock at Southampton. Then cars are delivered to local collection hubs on vehicle transporters so I don't really think a change in collection centre makes any difference to the delivery date. In any case, Staines is more...
