I'm curious, what's the reasoning behind 7kW AC services? In Lancelin today there were Tesla & WA EV fast chargers, so there's enough power, and a dinky old EO unit providing 17kW. The 7kW WA EV pillar by comparison is quite an industrial unit, but limited to 7kW? I would have thought they could...

I was here today, charged at the WA EV charger no worries at all. The Tesla stalls are strange, the centre space can't be used it's not as wide as my wife's Model 3, the bay on the right is very close to the curb it would be extremely tight.

I doubt they are planning to install chargers right next to all the WA State Funded chargers that are being built at the moment, so would it be a stretch to say this map is quite misleading & suggests they're investing a lot into WA - which they are not. Taking credit for the WA State...

Where do you find 15A extension cables with 2.5mm cores? There are a two at Bunnings that specifically state they are 2.5mm thick but they are 40m and 50m long. I'm thinking 10m would be plenty given the UMC is already 6m long.

I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, while we shouldn't expect delivery on the 3rd of Feb they also are pretty eager to get the cars off the dock ASAP. There are fee's & charges associated with having cars sitting there not to mention there are other vehicle carriers waiting to come in...

Same, the Dignity Ace doesn't dock until the 31st January so a 28th January delivery was a little ambitious :-) A date rather than a window would have been nice though.

Does paying before the ship lands give a better chance of being one of the first scheduled pick-ups? :p

How long does it normally take before an invoice is available? Under my account there's a request for payment and payment info, but my lease provider needs the official invoice.

I just received an email from Tesla: "Local Availability—Model 3", and indeed checking Perth stock there's 10 cars available right now, 6 RWD and 4 Performance. :-)

I think this is the leading theory at the moment, my wife's order has also changed to TBD as of today.

The 5x M3's that were available were all very specific configurations, I'm not sure it means the backlog was cleared in WA just that these 5 specific configurations did not match any existing orders. Also 4/5 sold the same day! I wonder if they contacted existing orders and asked if they'd vary...

Ahh that's good to know! I don't really mind where the solution is as long as it's there. I bet all EV's will have this. I worked out for my uses a basic timer is all we will need, I'm not worried about managing solar down to the electron. The important thing is the car is charged regardless...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the Tesla Wall Charger doesn't support even a basic timer if it's not being used on a Tesla right? So if you plug in your XC40 when you get home and want it to kick on at (say) 10PM when power is cheap you'd have to remember to go out and turn it on? I know...
