Thanks for the info! I’ll keep an eye out. The new cameras are concave around the lense while the old ones have a more rounded appearance. At least that’s best description I have from pictures I’ve seen.

Found out my car is in a nearby city but won’t get shipped to a local service center for several days. Trying to see if I can just pick it up there instead of waiting until they get enough cars for a local delivery. *cross fingers

Contacted the service center. They told me my car just left the Austin factory (it’s a 2022 model) and should expect a text within a couple days for delivery

Ha nice. Yea I stopped by my service center a couple months ago and the 2 guys there were bricks. I’d ask them questions and they just stared blankly and gave canned responses “yea Tesla can’t comment on blah blah”. If I didn’t know any better I’d think they were robots.

I can’t speak from personal experience yet but I did call my State Farm rep who I do all my insurance through to get a quote . He gave me the quote then proceeded to tell me he has a Tesla and nobody beats the Tesla insurance so he recommended I also check with that prior to locking in.

I hadn’t heard they send month out texts. So it kind of threw me for a loop especially with no other changes. Maybe they decided they need to start making people feel better about the wait so they wanted to give out some hope haha

Got a text today saying delivery can happen in next month. No vin yet.

Also just so you know options sometimes help but not always. I have options(paint and wheels) on my order and there’s a lot of people (who ordered after me) receiving their cars before me with as many or fewer options. I ordered March 01.

I’ve been seeing the comments from people that are having to acknowledge no USS prior to delivery and it says some features will be impacted or unavailable. What I haven’t found is a list of those features that will be “impacted or unavailable” without the USS. Anyone seen what that means?

I don’t think complaints are going to change much in this case. I think the deliveries are affected by a number of things and it’s going to be highly selective based on location. People closer to factories are just going to get orders quicker. Makes sense from a quarterly numbers standpoint...

Does anyone know if you are required to keep your Tesla for a year before selling it? My buddy just picked his up 3 months ago or so and thought he might sell it to get an x but someone told him he has to keep it for a year before selling. Anyone else hear anything about that?

Yea it’s ridiculous. Waiting to see what happens I have the same window as you. If I only have a 2 day notice before delivery I’m gonna be pissed. They can’t expect people to sit around their houses for weeks or months on end just waiting for a car delivery.

Someone reminded me that people who already had teslas are also higher priority for delivery than people who have not.

Now I will say depending on the price of your car you might want to look at sales tax if applicable. With the trade in you won’t be taxed on the amount for which you traded in your car if you go with Tesla vs selling your car outside and paying full price.
