I am due to collect mine on the 17th of December with a locked-in old price. Am I right in saying that to change to a car from the inventory, the new price will apply? Also, for people who have already collected, does your VIN translate to 2022 model or 2023 model?

So I called them and for some reason they hadn't allocated me a collection slot. They did now over the phone.

My EDD hasn't changed for a while, it shows 3rd-18th of December. Still not been asked to pay and have had a hidden VIN for a while. I ordered in March and it is a blue car with white interior. Anyone else in a similar state?

I would say that these are just estimates that could/will shift. Also I expect that they will first deliver existing orders before any new ones. The positive way of seeing this is that it provides more confidence for earlier deliveries for existing orders.

Any new order of a MYP is now showing an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks.

All good points and good insight on your Model X, thank you. I have looked at the final payments and they are quite low but had interpreted them as being conservative due to the uncertainty. But your Model X experience shows me that they are probably not that bad.

Whilst I am impatiently waiting for a collection date and checking the Tesla app multiple times a day, what are people's thoughts on residual values on this car in 4 years time with say 40000 miles?

Great news! Once offered a collection date, can you adjust it? For example can you move it to a Saturday? Also are collections for specific timeslots or any time in that day?
