Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Trust me UWB is even more impressive then Adaptive Matrix on MSP. Previously Bluetooth refused to work when I needed it most. Now it works like a charm every single time

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Yes, last 2 updates are better then what we received with holiday update here in EU. I agree, Matrix works great, huge difference compared to what we had before.

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Model S received it only with most recent 2024.8.7 update. I was notified on my phone app to upgrade key once my car upgraded software. After 2 days I am still shocked how perfect it works.

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

I have just received UWB with 2024.8.7 and it works amazing!
  6. zivac87

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

I think every refreshed X and S have uwb antennas but for some reason they have activated uwb on X only so far
  7. zivac87

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

It was added to model x. You can check latest 2024.x.x release notes in your car if it is added. It would have asked you in your phone app to upgrade your phone key. https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/1915/tesla-update-2024-2-3-is-improving-phone-keys-by-adding-ultra-wideband-support MS has...

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Hopefully we get it soon as well. Can you tell from first hand is it noticeably more precise then BT?
  9. zivac87

Anyone received UWB (Ultra Wideband) phone key functionality on Refreshed MS?

Is there anyone that received UWB on Model S LR/Plaid with latest 2024. updates? I saw X received it but nobody on S confirmed it so far AFAIK.

    21 S Plaid squeal/creak/screaming turning wheel/stopping

I think this is completely normal, try to put car in neutral - there should be no noise. Your brakes are applied and car is squealing when you turn your wheel. Tip: put minimum posible pressure on gas pedal just enough to disengage brakes. There will be no noise when turning and car will...

One year with my 2022 Model X Plaid

yes, its similar "threshold" like model 3 and y. My capacity stayed at max rated range (560 km - MSP) until Nominal battery was over 96 kWh. Refresh X and S are probably at max range somewhere between 96 and 99.4 kWh. Hopefully there are more people with SMT to confirm this.
  12. zivac87

One year with my 2022 Model X Plaid

Your degradation is actually bit over 6% (93,4/99,4). Nominal full pack includes Energy buffer value. This BMS reading could be bit off, as it corrects upwards or downwards whenever you charge your car. Car has threshold until around 96 kWh and that is point where you start to see range drops...

    Game Controller Support

Interesting. I knew back usb c are for power only. It is not possible to connect controllers to central console USB-C ports? There is no way to play steam games wired otherwise...

    Game Controller Support

is it possible to connect controller directly via cable did anyone test input lag of Dualsense? My phone bluetooth has huge lag when connected to car media. I wonder if controller is using different protocol.

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

I am extremely happy with my battery life so far. Battery is built on Oct 2022. After following few simple advices from @AAKEE this is health report so far. As you can see avg consumption car is driven pretty hard. Summer was extremely warm. My only rule was stay between 5%-55% when ending my...

    High Fidelity Park Assist

I would swap my USS with this early version 360 in a hearthbeat. People saying otherwise are probably delusional, USS have much more limitiations than they want to admit.

    High Fidelity Park Assist

This could be what we were looking for

    High Fidelity Park Assist

Yes, same, but every time my wife takes it for a spin Im scared shitless ngl

    High Fidelity Park Assist

Somebody mentioned they included curbs into high fidelity park assist, but if anyone has video of it feel free to share
  21. zivac87

    High Fidelity Park Assist

yes, I almost lost any hope they will roll it for S and X today, but thank god I was wrong. High fidelity park will probably roll soon for USS, just like we had to wait for wheelbutton customization
  22. zivac87

    High Fidelity Park Assist

Just installed 2023.44.30.2 on MSP with USS and there is no High Fidelity Park Assist.
  23. zivac87

    Battery degradation

Real capacity is actually 99.4 kWh, your range will start dropping once you go under 96 kWh. You are still above buffer

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

it's s3xy button commander. SMT is working terrible on my iOS, but when comparing them, they give exact values.
  27. zivac87

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

something is different iirc, last time i checked complete light acceleration was done with front motor. can anyone on .38 confirm that?
  28. zivac87

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Unfortunately my car only had noticable vibrations when driving it for 500-1000 meters. I cant feel it now. One more thing that is maybe fixed is standby drain. And car now goes to sleep within 15 min of idling, at least 3x faster then before. I think those 2 things are linked somehow.
  29. zivac87

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

here is video of car behavior when accelerating mildly and keeping speed steady (40-55 mph) (its same in Plaid or Sport).
  30. zivac87

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I have noticed via SMT that now rear motors engage under slight acceleration and cruise speed, while front motor is inactive. If i remember correctly, prior to .44 when accelerating and driving slowly only front motor was active. It would be great if anyone on .38 can confirm it. One thing that...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I had 1st drive of the day vibration, it was very obvious
  32. zivac87

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I have installed it yesterday, didn't notice any vibrations, and my car now goes to sleep within 10 minutes of idling, where it could take almost 1 hour before... Looks really promising

Unusual capacity/range gain on 2022 Model X Plaid

sorry for bumping this thread, but new refresh (2021+) capacity is 99.4 kWh. My range strated dropping once SMT went under 96 kWh

    Yoke vs Steering

Airbag shape is identical but part number is not, most people that retrofitted round sw couldn't keep old airbag. I still wonder how is new airbag compromising safety when pairing it with yoke.
  36. zivac87

    Yoke vs Steering

Is it possible to swap back to yoke with "new round steering wheel airbag" without compromising safety? I am aware UI icons won't change without toolbox
  37. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

unfortunately :) whenever I keep it under 60% BMS is almost spot on, always charges to exact % and "standby loss" (BMS correction would be better name IMO) is minimal. If you ever park between 60-65% let me know what happened.
  38. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

I understand concept of underestimating/overestimating after charge. Sometimes I charge from 40-70% and after brief sleep BMS reads 72%. Sometimes I charge to 60% and car reads 59%. But this weird bug happens every time when I park at around 63%, no matter if I charged car to 80% then drive it...
  39. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

It's only showing over 560 km in Tessie, but never in car. My car finally started dropping range at 21.000 km and it happened really steep. Its showing 545 km now with 94.3 kWh nominal. Can you check one thing, when parked at roughly 63% SoC, car will drop/adjust at least 2-3% within 1 hour...

    Yoke vs Steering

Used each more than 6000 miles. Sticking with round wheel. 0 cons unlike yoke
  41. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Is teslafi and teslalogger showing range for both 19 and 21" together in fleet average? It seems odd. I had to reset car after update, it was showing 50% 300 km range in official app/car with 21" Arachnid when updating to 2023.20.9, Now its back to normal EPA range
  42. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Did you get 2023.20.9 update? My range is now shown in WLTP? instead of EPA rating.
  43. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Yes, 21" Archnid selected in menu. But I still believe your calculations make more sense... I'll give SMT another go later this month when I have 700 km trip
  44. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

I am at 96.2 kWh and still stuck at full 560, used smt via sexy obd commander on trip from vacation, it could be bugged…

    Incoming callers hear the radio

Can confirm same with my car, but not every time I answer calls. (using iPhone)
  46. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Sexy button OBDone commander can connect to SMT as well (via BT?). I guess it's bit laggy compared to OBD Link MX+?
  47. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Threshold is actually pretty high compared to other models. Its great you got the Plaid, it will probably benefit us all once you start experimenting with it, there is lacking ton of informations unlike for Model 3 / Y :)
  48. zivac87

    Ride height

It is called "default ride height to low" tick box under suspension settings. Per manual: if you choose comfort or auto settings, ride height can switch to medium if there is bumpy road. If you keep it in sport it will always stay in low
  49. zivac87

    Ride height

Is default low ride ticked within settings? If yes, then you are not parking on even ground. Car will always try to balance itself, that is why you want Jack mode enabled when changing tires. If there is 3 fingers on 1 side, other side could be 2 fingers only
  50. zivac87

    MS Refresh threshold

Yes I noticed your previous posts regarding this topic. It's optimal for me to have it charged at 50-55%. It's Plaid and I often want it at 80-90% range to get all power which is easy to top up with 11 kw AC when needed. When car is ready to rest it's even easier to deplete battery back to ~50% :)
