Thanks for confirming that there is an upgrade path to 2023.26. I was afraid it was limited to only EA or FSD subscribers. I am willing to wait until it has been beta tested by the ones who get it early. :-)

I have a 2023 MY that I took delivery at March end. No EA or FSD. I was at SW 2023.6 and just got the 2023.9 update. I am surprised as I was hoping to get 2023.26 update which has some new features that I am interested in. Anyone know if there is an upgrade path from 2023.9 to 2023.26?

Yeah man, I really wish teslamate would be supported on the RP1. I wonder what the technical reason is for the not supported status. Unfortunately I can't get hold of a newer RPI. I guess I am stuck for now.

I still don't get it. I suspect you are saying teslamate won't install on the RPI1. But I was able to successfully install docker. But teslamate installation failed. Edit: I looked further. teslamate won't run on the armv6 architecture.

Hmm. I was able to successfully install docker on the RPI1 using instructions linked from the teslamate docs page. I successfully ran the hello-world example. Why do you say docker won't run on the RPI1? I haven't tried installing teslamate yet.

I am ok to invest in newer hardware, but i already have existing older hardware that already runs a few useful applications. I am ok to run with some sluggishness and I am willing to put up with required debug etc. But if it really overwhelms the older hardware, I will certainly get a newer RPI.

Thank you for the further insight. I am still deciding on which one to get. Its a bummer that the hanging and tray ones both interfere with the sensors. Especially with the latest update from Tesla there is the park assist, I am concerned that there will be constant alerts from the sensors. :-(

All, thank you for the inputs. I agree long term getting a 240V charger will solve my problem as I can just start at 12AM and charging to 80% daily or to 100 for trips should be done by 6AM. For now I am just going to keep it plugged in and not bother about charging time or duration.

Thank you very much for pointing out that charging at 120V is less efficient than at 240V. I had wondered about that over the weekend as I noticed that the Y has some fans spinning or some like that as makes a small noise as its charging. Long term I am definitely getting a 240V charger put...

My goal is not the cost savings. Its the attempt to do a constant 6 hour charge every night, rather than go beyond the 6 AM after which we are shuttling the kids to school etc. Its the simplicity of the charging that I was seeking, not cost savings.

Yes, I agree reasonably low mileage used Raven MX will not be close to the <60K new MY. Thats why I wasn't really considering the MX. Additionally if we get the 7.5K rebate, its significantly lower than an MX.

I sure am bummed! Based on some inputs from other members I was very hopeful of progress towards VIN and delivery by Feb end or Mar beginning. But true to the input there was an update, just that its one that I don't like. :-(

Just got a 8 day push out on my end. EDD went from 02/16 -03/23 --> 02/20-03/06 --> 02/28-03/14 No VIN Yet.
