I have a 2023 MYP. I came from a BMW X3 M40i, with standard sport suspension. The ride in the MYP is leaps and bounds more comfortable. I love it, you will get used to it.

I'm about to give upon the Juicebox 48 after a week. The app is terrible, and it keeps pausing my charging for whatever reason in the middle of the night. Just not reliable, I have to keep checking on it, and I can't relax. For the $400, I may just give up and by the Tesla charger.

I think that is what happens, if your car is too close to the house CarPlay stays connected, and so does the tether to the phone I think. At that point, I'm not sure if the T2C interferes with the Tesla trying to connect to the home wifi as well.

I'm new to my Tesl, just got it yesterday! I am on software version 2023.2.200. How long does it take for Tesla to roll out these updates typically? I'm connected to my house wifi, and at 80% charge.

Got my Model Y today. Setup the T2C in about 3 minutes. Worked as expected in the driveway. Actually worked really well. Will see how it holds up on my commute tomorrow.

It's awesome. Love it. No issues with build quality. Just waiting for the latest software to show up.

Thanks for that! Just got the text today that my MYP will be available for pickup on Saturday! Can’t wait to try this out. My vehicle will be about 30 ft from my house, so I may have to play with some shortcuts, but I also got a usb c on/off button. I’ll have to see if either are even necessary.

I think anyone who buys this device has to keep in mind that this is a hack. Don't expect a seemless experience, almighty Elon has decided we shouldn't have CarPlay or Android Auto. If you go into it knowing the limitations, you will get what you paid for.

I don't think I've seen more than 3 icons on the left in my cars. And I think the layout of the screen is determined by the aspect ratio of the screen and/or the developer's choice. But, just seeing your screenshot is getting me even more excited for the imminent delivery of my Model Y.

I think the one you got will be fine, maybe the same one I bought. You can test it with your laptop, and upgrade the firware from there too. As long as it can get the latest firmware, you should fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the issues are heat related. I see this a lot with small devices. Look at the tesla android project, you need some decent cooling for that, and I would guess this is the same. The fancy T2C case may have trumped adequate ventilation. Just did another test...

The interface seems to scaled for a very specific resolution, so it probably fine for all the horizontal screened teslas, baut may not look right on the older portrait screens.

It's because this unit is gaming the system to give us carplay. It needs to intercept all the Internet traffic from the car, so it can feed the custom local (hosted in the T2C controller) webpage that is carplay, while letting all other traffic to the internet. Setting up the T2C as the wifi...

Kinda strange seeing carplay on the computer, but it proves it should work fine in the car.

Mine will be for bikes, I really don't want to put racks on this car. And seeing people break the glass, the tow package makes the most sense.
