I ordered a Gen 3 wall connector in January and I’m noticing an issue with the charging cable. Parts of the charging cable are starting to bubble. I’m not sure if this is normal but it has me concerned as I may need a replacement for this. Has anyone experienced this?

I think you are right on the money with the temperature rating. I ran THHN cable as well but installed a Eaton 60amp breaker. Just found out the rating is at 40c. If they make breakers with temp rating’s equal to the wires, where in the world can you find them?

I wish there was a way to find out. The previous owner is no help.

Just got a used Model X with 70K miles. Don't have the service records so I have no idea if the control arms have been replaced. Doing research now so I know which parts to get when the time comes, which I feel like can be soon based on the times bushings normally fail.

Was originally looking at Mevotech before I found this thread. I still may go that route if I can find Sidem. I also didn’t know about that lifetime warranty so that may be the way I go as week. Thanks for the information on that because it would be nice to never have to buy control arms again.

You so bought all your parts at the right time. That store doesn't have the parts in stock anymore but I'm requesting they get more.

Been trying to find the Sidem brand control arms and haven't been able to find any in stock anywhere. The store on EBay no longer has any and haven't been able to find them anywhere else on the web. Maybe the word is getting out about it.

Going to be doing the same thing. Part number is 2007106 if you haven’t found it yet. A number of places sell it online.

Correction on the fluid type. I see that Dextron 6 should be used which is better because it widely available.

So much conflicting information on this but my current manual doesn't say that the drive unit fluid needs to be replaces. Goes against everything I learned in that past about cars but I will say this. It makes sense to change the fluid if you plan to keep the car well past its warranty.

Good point. I do have cars with transmissions that have filters but never seen a filter on a gear box like motor.

See the attached invoice folks. I thought it should be cheaper but I just paid $165 about a few weeks ago for a battery. Prices probably went up.

I think Tesla could make our cars capable of taking these batteries if they wanted to but won’t. I don’t believe they will for a while because they know service is a serious additional revenue stream just how the legacy car makers have been doing for decades

I’m pretty good with working on gas powered vehicles but I’m probably going to try and stay OEM on some things until some aftermarket parts become more widely accepted for sake of ease

I just did a rotor and pad replacement on my 2019 MX. I ordered the parts from PartsGeek. I just made sure I got parts from the Brembo setup I have in the front and the regular in the rear and it worked out fine

False alarm as I just figured it out. You can get air out of the rear center console vent by only having the air coming out the front vents, then it will come out of the rear center console
