A/C only works in Park. Hot smelly air when driving

Thank you for posting this and I'm glad you were able to get this addressed. I had my AC serviced as preventative maintenance since I live in an area where it gets really hot. I just got this message a few days ago and probably will have to bring it in now.

    Tesla Wall Connector Cable Issue

I ordered a Gen 3 wall connector in January and I’m noticing an issue with the charging cable. Parts of the charging cable are starting to bubble. I’m not sure if this is normal but it has me concerned as I may need a replacement for this. Has anyone experienced this?

    Key Fob Issue

I've got a 2019 Model X. We purchased new in February and there is something strange going on with the Key fob. The fob works to lock and unlock the doors but it won't open the frunk and trunk. Is there a setting somewhere in the car I'm missing? Curious if anyone has seen this and know how to...

    Wall Connector Gen3

Newbie here as I just installed my wall connector late January and got my first Tesla at the same time as well. Makes sense and thank you. Main reason I started to look into this is because I noticed the wires would get warm (not hot) when running for a while when I’m charging at 48V. They get...

    Wall Connector Gen3

I think you are right on the money with the temperature rating. I ran THHN cable as well but installed a Eaton 60amp breaker. Just found out the rating is at 40c. If they make breakers with temp rating’s equal to the wires, where in the world can you find them?

2019 Model X Wind Shield Washer Fluid

Strange thing. When I'm driving, my windshield washer fluid doesn't come out(when I need it) I got home and was parked in the garage and the fluid did come out. Has anyone experienced an issue like this with the Model X? And does anyone know if I have to take the tire off to get to the...

Lower controller arm camber bolt for 2014 Tesla S

Does anyone know what the letter represents in this part number for the control arm? 1027351-00-E I’ve been looking at different ones and I noticed some end with A,B,C,D, or E. Seem like they all will work and I was thinking maybe reflects the version. Wanted to make sure this would work for...

Front aft lower control arms - OEM vs Beck-Arnley?

Just got a used Model X with 70K miles. Don't have the service records so I have no idea if the control arms have been replaced. Doing research now so I know which parts to get when the time comes, which I feel like can be soon based on the times bushings normally fail.

Front aft lower control arms - OEM vs Beck-Arnley?

Was originally looking at Mevotech before I found this thread. I still may go that route if I can find Sidem. I also didn’t know about that lifetime warranty so that may be the way I go as week. Thanks for the information on that because it would be nice to never have to buy control arms again.

Sidem / Beck Arnley vs Tesla Control Arms

You so bought all your parts at the right time. That store doesn't have the parts in stock anymore but I'm requesting they get more.
  16. bin01123

Front aft lower control arms - OEM vs Beck-Arnley?

Been trying to find the Sidem brand control arms and haven't been able to find any in stock anywhere. The store on EBay no longer has any and haven't been able to find them anywhere else on the web. Maybe the word is getting out about it.

Lower controller arm camber bolt for 2014 Tesla S

Going to be doing the same thing. Part number is 2007106 if you haven’t found it yet. A number of places sell it online.

    Model X Drivetrain Service?

Correction on the fluid type. I see that Dextron 6 should be used which is better because it widely available.

What fluid to use for drive unit differential?

So much conflicting information on this but my current manual doesn't say that the drive unit fluid needs to be replaces. Goes against everything I learned in that past about cars but I will say this. It makes sense to change the fluid if you plan to keep the car well past its warranty.

Most reliable way to buy a used 2016-2018 Model X - tesla direct, carmax, carvana, shift, vroom?

Was in the same boat looking for a used 2019 MX. I bought mine from a private seller on Facebook. There is a Facebook group named Teslas for sale or something like that. It’s a good resource. Had mine for about 2 weeks now and all is good. Knock on wool

Do the Oil and Filter Used in the Model Y Gearboxes Need to be Serviced?

Good point. I do have cars with transmissions that have filters but never seen a filter on a gear box like motor.

See the attached invoice folks. I thought it should be cheaper but I just paid $165 about a few weeks ago for a battery. Prices probably went up.

Do the Oil and Filter Used in the Model Y Gearboxes Need to be Serviced?

Do you know if there have been instances of people reporting the car told them to change it? Just checking because I like to swap out fluids just prior to a light coming on

    Model X Drivetrain Service?

I believe I will once I work up the nerve and triple confirm I have the right filter, fluid type and amount. I just don’t won’t to waste the time getting under the car and not have the right parts for the job. If you find anything that confirms I’m right on the filter part number and fluid type...

    Longer term Ohmmu experiences?

I think Tesla could make our cars capable of taking these batteries if they wanted to but won’t. I don’t believe they will for a while because they know service is a serious additional revenue stream just how the legacy car makers have been doing for decades

    Model X Brakes

    Model X Drivetrain Service?

I just read for this service, the car requires a filter ( part #1095038-00-A) and Pentosin ATF 9 fluid. The article also claims that Tesla used to recommend this service after year 1,5, and 9 but since has removed this service from their recommendations for service. Thinking about doing this as...

    Model X Drivetrain Service?

Just bought my first Tesla for the family. A 2019 Model X Long Range (Raven) I bought it from a private party and it had 70k miles on it. Tesla Wall Charger only charging at 32A

I’m not an electrician but I had some phone support from my cousin who is a contractor. I installed a gen 3 wall charger 3 weeks ago and went with a 60 amp breaker. I’m getting 48amps which is the maximum output for the wall charger and I did that so I have the ability to reduce the output if I...

2019 Model X Rear Climate Control Issue

2019 Model X Rear Climate Control Issue

Just bought a used 2019 Model X for the family and we can’t seem to get the rear climate control from the center vent to blow out any air. Is there something that blocks that vent so it doesn’t blow out anything? How do we get air to blow out to the rear as well as the front? We have the rear...
