    More Model 3's than Model S's * **

More Model 3's than Model S's * ** *In the US **Sometime in January I was curious with the large ramp of Model 3's hitting the streets when the Model 3 would overtake Model S in quantity on US roads. Based off the Monthly Scorecard by InsideEVs and their historical records I came up with these...

    Foam block in suspension

Rotated my tires over the weekend and found a small block of foam under one of the rear coil springs. Guessing that this was from transportation of the sub assembly or holding the coil straight during assembly? Not really sure. Odd to find and removed, just curious if anyone else has found this.

    Time Circuits On!

Now that it looks like v9 confirms that the model 3 will be getting a web browser, the thing I'm most excited for is to be able to use this page: Back to the Future: Interactive Console - Fun Tesla Screen (interactive version of time circuits shown as image below) Will be fun to watch Back to...

ABRP Model 3 Supercharging and Consumption Data

The link to this blog post is buried in the Model S thread for A Better Route Planner, but I figured I'd repost it here since it contains some valuable info for Model 3 owners. Model 3 Consumption and Charging – About A Better Routeplanner Supercharging Curve: Speed vs Distance: Speed vs...

    18" Wheel Look Options

In my quest for getting the right look of the 18" wheels on my blue 3 I have acquired most available options for different looks so I decided to do a quick photo shoot to compare. Standard Aero Grey Center Cap and Black Lug Nut Covers (sorry for the different angle than the rest, my phone...

    Side Collision Avoidance

The car takes evasive maneuvers! I know I've read some anecdotes on here about this, but couldn't find much doing a search so I thought I'd start a dedicated thread on this feature. Yesterday I was driving down a divided freeway traveling in the left lane in crowded but normal speed traffic. A...

    My outdoor charging box

Finished up my outdoor charging box this weekend. I used a "Temporary Outlet Panel" for my 14-50 plug which allows me to have a circuit breaker disconnect right at the station as well as a 120V outlet for other uses in my driveway where I would have to run a long extension cord before. With the...

Car turns off every time I get in

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I'm on 2018.16.1. When I open a door the car will turn on, turn on the HVAC and generally start playing music from phone bluetooth, cool. But then I get in the car and shut the door and it turns it all off, sometimes for only a second, other times...

Apps and logging, 3rd party software. Any reviews for Model 3?

Anyone using any of the 3rd party apps for logging and controls of their model 3s? I've seen some mention of software like TeslaFi and Dashboard for Tesla, but not too many accounts in relation to the model 3. Please post any experiences you have had.

    Name That Part!

The robotic assembly video posted yesterday showed an interesting shot of the front of the car in general assembly. Interesting that there is no bumper attached at this stage but shows a good view of some of the parts under the hood. I've identified a few of the stand out components by...

Model 3 Manual: Disconnecting 12V and High Voltage Power

Some interesting tidbits in this manual. Shows Battery pack with integrated charger (passes through hole in bed pan to beneath the rear seat), motor, charge port, A/C compressor and PTC heater. Doc shows the 12V battery placement behind the frunk. Doc also notes that the windows should be...
