Even with a battery, a family of four in which the other 3 people cannot be bothered conserving electricity also makes it difficult to optimise. I’m stuck on my fixed rate plan or I’ll have to implement marshal law at home to get them on board.

Can you charge your home batteries during that 12-6 period as well? I know the fine print says no controlled load, but I’m curious if a Powerwall would similar to any other appliance or car charging during that time? I’m going to have a plan B should I have a rate change soon.

I like ChargeHQ’s car and Powerwell integration. It’s a nice way to check what’s happening with the Powerwall without waking up the car. That alone is worth $7 to me.

That sounds as annoying as the car waking up every time the app is opened to check on the Powerwall.

I am with CovaU (United Energy). I was on a TOU 22c and 34c off/on peak prices but changed to a flat rate of 26c/kWh. I know having a battery common sense says TOU is better, but I have a static load of 3-400W 24x7 and a family that doesn’t like to conform to the energy-saving mindset...

Hmmm.. Mine was doing it before the CoS option appeared on my phone (today). In summary, accessing the PW page has always woken up the car.

ChargeHQ is much more flexible in that case as you can specify the battery or car priority. .

Just the Tesla app icon, no widgets. I can’t believe I’m hearing that other people’s cars don’t wake up. I’m not certain why mine would be an anomaly here. There is no exception though, if it is asleep and I open the app directly to PW2 page it will wake up.

I always leave the app on the Powerwall page and guaranteed the car wakes up every time I open the app (having left it on the PW page). I can hear the relays in the car clicking. I’m very surprised to hear you say your car doesn’t wake up even when just using the app to manage the PW.

After reading this thread, and realizing I don’t have a CoS option in my app (phone paired to PW2) it seems like a better option to stick with ChargeHQ due to the issues with excessive waking of the which is already bad enough when checking the Tesla app. I hate how the car wakes up every time...

When you say use Tesla Charge on Solar… what do you mean exactly? My Powerwall settings page has no “EV charging” options and my car (MYP) doesn’t show any options for solar charging. I’m still using ChargeHQ which is at odds with the PW2 charging a bit. My charger is the newer Tesla WC...

As an MYP owner I fully agree. Many of us bought them before the LR option existed. I’m just trying to ignore the price drops the MYP has experienced, I like the car too much to care.

I also have an MYP in Melbourne. No issues with it. I would say it’s stiff, not harsh. I would imagine the 19” standard wheels with the new suspension would be quite plush, opposed to the 21” w/ low profile tires on the P model.

I really like the new turn signal feature. One thing that will take getting used to is in roundabouts, I found as soon as I enter it might turn off the turn signal which then indicates to the other cars to enter as well. I need to observe how it handles roundabouts.

I have a Kuat, the NV1.0 and NV2.0 (4-bike). They are well engineered, a bit more exy than some other options but the quality is very high.

Mine upgraded to 6.11 back on April 6th. As far as I can tell it only added Zoom.

I have an open case with Telsa support, my WC3 only connects for 2-3 seconds then drops the connection. Firmware has been been updated remotely, still won’t support a local connection. Connected to home WIFI it’s fine.

Thanks for doing this, I was interested in seeing how the MYP price changed over time. It was still cheapest at launch, the fluctuations are good, but still favoured the early adopters.

The more I watch FSD videos from the US the more I’m hoping we see it here soon. I guess it’s a gamble of when to buy the FSD package, it’s cheap compared to US now, but will no doubt increase when the functionality is available. I haven‘t heard from any reliable sources if/when it’ll arrive...

That is exactly what it is. I think it’s another great trolling from Tesla, so much hype about a simple accessory. I believe it’s useful in China because of the high numbers of cars parked outdoors.

Allianz specifically asked if I added these options to my car, so it stands to reason that if it were to be written off it would be considered in the replacement cost (and my annual premium).
