I don’t know what they mean by this. The only way my F68 worked WAS to connect it to Tesla BT audio which worked. But I wanted the built in speaker which they eliminated.

No mine had the screen protector. Looked new.

That’s what they did with the F68. No where does it say it no longer works with the internal speaker.

I believe that is why they changed the circuit board on the "newer" one so all audio will be routed to the Tesla. Amazing that we are ordering these and don't know what version we'll get...and they make no mention of it anywhere.

Does it show if you select the camera in the settings (swipe from the right I believe). Only other thing I recall was making sure it was plugged in really tightly as it didn't work first for me either.

That is true, but then again, so are the Tesla screen bezels so in a way, they match.

Yes. That’s how I use it.

The bezel is thick but the screen is still bigger than similar offerings from Hansshow and TMA. And it’s cheaper. Granted it’s smaller, but the thick bezels blend well with the thick bezels of the Tesla screen.

Yah if you go into the Bluetooth connection on the phone and toggle off CarPlay, while some music playing, it will continue to play on speaker but you lose CarPlay image

That would be nice if they did. They insisted it can’t because they changed the circuit board. I tried to see if they could get me the older one but they said it’s no longer available. Definitely a downside and enough that I wont keep it so they are accepting my return.

I’m looking at the unit from TMA. It’s modular and upgradable and definitely has better software. Plus built in working speaker of course. For me though it’s a lot more money for just really wanting Waze. Front camera is nice but I don’t need. So I’m still not decided.

Many just want to use the F68 strictly for Carplay/Waze and front camera without interfering with the use of of the Tesla audio apps so the speaker is wanted for Waze alerts.

Hansshow doesn’t respond at all, as others have also pointed out. I cannot speak for TMA or Tesery but I would advise not purchasing from Hansshow. Seems like a lot of these screens from Hansshow are no longer available on Amazon. Probably too many returns.
