We made it to Gaspé from Montreal through some terrible winter storm conditions. The roads were icy enough and then we discovered the Gaspé superchargers almost totally ice'd. Looks like the connections have been made but they're not operational yet.
Interesting but not very good PR from Electric Circuit especially if you are counting on these kinds of urban charging options as your primary source of power. For the record I parked at about 50% SOC. On our block of NDG alone there are 6 EVs who depend on the urban charging as primary power...
Although I admire that Hydro Quebec is making an effort to help build-out the charging network in the province, it does have some shortcomings. In the city of Montreal you can get pretty cheap parking downtown if you plug your car in to one of the CE stations, if you're lucky enough to find one...
The Chademo is a Plan D at best... We've been driving electric in Quebec since 2013 and the Chademo system is sub par. Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing.... but just barely. It's weird to see Hydro Quebec still stuck on this legacy tech with one to two stalls per station... on...
My wife and I recently got our Model Y's... hers in red and mine in blue. I can't help but notice how similar in colouring the red and blue are to snooker balls in billiards. If only we could get a bunch more red y's and the other colours of the set and set up a Tesla photo shoot in a parking...
My wife is also waiting on the Y and had lots of questions about the size of the trunk etc and lately started feeling like maybe the Y wasn't for her. Then we saw a Y in the wild in Quebec city, got a chance to walk around it and see in side the trunk. It has confirmed her stand that she loves...
I think it's time this location gets built. Any ideas as to how to inspire Tesla to do this? Maybe Brockville should invite Grimes to shoot a music video there.
There's an embargo on building superchargers in Quebec? I think I see that now!
We stopped in Levis last night and we were happily greeted by zero other charging teslas... of course it was around midnight so there's that. Travelled to Gaspe from Montreal and back over the holidays again this...
I have a Chademo adaptor to lend to anyone in need... in Montreal.
Also I just realized why this location doesn't have Tesla superchargers yet.... Brockville has never been conncected to the grid. They forgot.
There is not a day that goes by where I don't see people burn past school busses loading and unloading with all the appropriate flashing lights and signage and some dummy drives through. In Quebec it's 9 demerit points plus a hefty fine.
Imagine a Sentry Mode camera system and plate ID software...
what the heck is going on? All across Canada the Supercharger network hard work is mostly done. They just left all the final installs! They should hire at least a second person to install all these!
I know the feeling far too well. I've run out of charge just shy of Kingston from Montreal and when towed to the superchargers in Kingston was in a queue of about 8 other cars waiting to charge. Brockville has to happen ASAP
I've had a loaner pack now for 2.5 years and no end in sight. Tesla Montreal has no clue what to do with my case. I have no information still after countless inquiries.
I'm on my 4th windshield on my 2013 S. Just a bad luck sequence I'm hoping. Always changed the glass at nearby Lebeau on St Jacques. I have so much stuff on hold with the montreal service department due to backorder of parts or no time to repair that I go to other shops for most of my regular...
I've never actually done this but a few times on my last road trip I nearly depressed the park brake while changing hands or shifting in my seat. Has anyone actually pressed the brake button at speed? If so, what happens?
At one point I was pretty convinced I accidentally tapped it quite hard...
My 2013 S has not once, not twice but thrice had system errors and failures after firmware upgrades. Has anybody ever experienced this? This is kind of my worst nightmare... car out of warranty getting upgrades that cause me to think I need a new vehicle even though, otherwise, it operates fine...
It is bizarre. I've been running with the error for three years now but when my main battery died and they gave me a loaner battery, which I still have since March 2017, they said it was because of a faulty TPMS thingy ma jig. Go figure
Thanks for all that input folks. Much appreciated. I've had the TPMS module replaced over a year ago. Out of warranty the cost was exorbitant. It also completely shut my car down when it failed and rendered the car undriveable. That sucked.
Is it possible to turn off the TPMS? It's annoying. I don't need to install sensors in all my tires. I think I'll be fine without them as I have been in the past 30 years of driving.
On multiple occasions I've pulled into an SC with less than 2Kms of range and at least half those times the indicator was saying zero. That's why I keep at last 5 Kms of extension cord in the frunk.
I would say these are duplex stalls based on the dual hamster wheel installation nearby. Model 3 owners, of course, will need to provide their own hamsters whereas S and X owners get the hamsters for free, for life.
So a few weeks ago my HVAC heater died on a cold night returning from the country. Tesla says it's the DCDC Module and will cost $2400 plus labour to repair. The charge port is also needing to be replaced as charging dropped out occasionally. Cost for repair for that is close to 2000 with...
Same thing happened to me. 2013 S parked in the garage. A weird update last summer totally messed up the centre console screen and was pretty much unusable for a couple months. Then an update fixed that but made my home charging intermittent. Next update fixed home charging but added...
Is there are a way to set a specific date in history on the supercharge.info site to see which superchargers were online for that date? I know there's the "way back" feature which will take one on a long trek back from 2012 on up but I'd like some specific dates and available superchargers for a...
