    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

It showed up this morning when I loaded the map, it was not there last night for me even showing all charger locations and scrolling around there was nothing in that location. I'm sure the charger list was just cached at some layer and needed updating. It is also not showing up under the Charge...

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

I didn't see any openness to public use just now. It works on my Tesla but it just says plug in to charge and monitor in vehicle. Not on the in car map yet.

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

There are several programs for charger monies fwiw, ZEVIP is from WSDOT, but there's also the "underserved" and "overburdened" area programs from the dept of commerce... A lot of those perpetually broken 2 handle chargepoint or similar slower chargers in locations that make no sense often get...

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Is this by WAC or through funding allocation for the NEVI and the state cap and invest funds or something? I don't recall any legislation last session explicitly saying that?

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Interesting the lni electrical permit is still active (not final) with an outstanding correction.

    Cybertruck is a scam.

The backup assist? I have it on my newer f150, I never use it tbh. "Cosplay "off-road" tires" xD LOL

    My Q

I dont understand why MyQ requires a subscription and costs money, the android/ios mobile app is completely free and it presumably uses the same APIs. I guess because they can is probably the answer. I have the app and a fob, but I don't need/want the automatic open on pull in, so it works fine...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

idk I've driven trucks long before back up cameras were a thing, they're exceptionally useful for checking the rear blind spot directly behind the vehicle, but while actually backing I'm generally watching my side mirrors more than the camera or rearview. And of course, useless with a trailer.

No new inspections scheduled on the permit. Nothing will change until the permit is finalized. Not sure what they're waiting on.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) - time-of-use pilot

Well yes, that's Cali and they have their own problems no doubt. There is zero reason anyone in King County should ever be paying rates that high right now though imo. It amazes how electric rates seem to correlate more with cost of housing and taxes in that particular area than they do with any...

    Honest review of the Cybertruck

On Reg Cab and SuperCab 6.5' is the short bed and 8' is the long bed On Crew Cab 5.5' is the short bed and 6.5' is the long bed. Can't get an 8' bed on the Crew Cab factory.

    Honest review of the Cybertruck

Interesting description of the Lightning to say "long bed" when they won't even sell the Lightning with any other cab or bed configurations than the CCSB (that's Crew Cab Short Bed in F150 speak). Getting harder and harder to find, but you can still get a SuperCab and RegCab long bed with an 8'...

Supercharger - Puyallup, WA (permit found, 12 stalls)

Excellent location, the EA is on the other side of the mall but it's only a couple stalls iirc and not much else in the area. Really limits you on trips to Packwood or over White Pass and lots of traffic through that area.

Bellevue Location no longer doing deliveries?

Nope I guess not, I thought I read they were getting one, but doesn't look like it. Vancouver would be the other one to check.

Bellevue Location no longer doing deliveries?

I'd have to look it up but I'd bet Spokane valley or tri cities area is probably the cheapest but you got the whole hours away thing

Bellevue Location no longer doing deliveries?

Lynnwood is the highest sales tax in the state. Cars also get a bonus 0.3% over regular retail rates.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

Yep, probably makes sense to enable if you're planning a road trip and want to use multiple SuC stops, otherwise leave it off if you have home charging.

Holy *sugar* those peak rates are high. Glad I'm SnoPud. We're finally supposed to be getting smart meters, thinking about paying the fee to stay with a manual read, I do NOT want ToU. I'm happy to charge middle of night voluntarily, but with the baseload servers and stuff I have, paying peak...

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

Yep, there's your answer I guess. 208v service to the building, stepped up to 480v for the chargers. I see that on the side of the tesla charging tower it has a 480v input.
  25. B

    Step down voltage

I'm going to guess there is a fairly low power 12v output for the trailer connection. No idea what it's rated at, but its definitely not 48v powering trailer lights and the always on trailer pin. ETA from the youtube video that reveals the owners manual (not on tesla.com yet):

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

I think the real tell will be if it says anything about having 480v3ph available or if its just 208v. Pretty sure anything with v3 cabinets are all 480v3ph with a 600A breaker (430A continuous according to the label) per cabinet so you would typically see 1600A or 2000A @ 480v3ph site level for...

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA - 201st Place Southeast (LIVE 21 Mar 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Looks very close now, no equipment on site when I went by there. Remove the fence and covers over the posts and you'd think it was open. According to the permit it looks like there is one more correction they need to complete, but it's not clear on the permit site what that is.
  28. B

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

I drove by there last night and the generators were all purring away still. Generators were inspected yesterday according to that permit. 2 800A interconnected generators feeding 1600a service to building... I wonder how long the repairs will take, kinda crazy seeing the building powered that way.

The Cybertruck is more expensive to supercharge than a Ford F-150 costs in gas

BEV trucks going mainstream is going to require way more expensive gas I think at this point. While I highly doubt many 3.5l ecoboost owners are going to get 24mpg combined in daily use, I know I don't, today it's easily worth any energy cost premium for the capability of gas. I still do most of...

    Cybertruck launch

I wonder how much power will be available at 12v. Obviously moving most of the architecture to 48v there won't be as much of a need for 12v stuff, but there will be some 12v for user accessories, and some of the base electronics for doors etc so you can use a jump box like current Teslas like...

Mounting the winch might be a bit of a pain, I don't really know what kind of frame members are all the way forward, but the way tesla likes to do its unibody crash protection doesn't put too much solid very far in front of the firewall. I'm sure someone will build a big aftermarket bumper that...

Yep short TOU windows is the real reason people should actually need faster level 2 charging. Fortunately don't have any of that yet where I am, still rocking a dumb meter that some poor fool has to manually read once a month at 0.11/kWh. I guess there's a few rural highway corridors with some...

    Cybertruck launch

The thing is, even at subsonic speeds, I wouldn't trust a .300 AAC at 220gr to not penetrate... Twice the mass (and energy) of the 9mm 115gr they were shooting in a 20% skinnier bullet. That's why the supersonic/subsonic thing isn't really the definitive feature.

He very carefully never says "quarter" before the video. The race video is clearly to the 1/8 mi (first set of markers). The 1/8 video plays. On the screen says "1/4 mile time <11s". He then says "It can tow a Porsche 911 across a quarter mile faster than a Porsche 911 can go by itself". So...

    Cybertruck launch

Again most target 10mm is going to go in that 1050fps range which is about the same as any of the bulk 9mm and its a bigger round with more surface area. Yes it's probably a heavier bullet and thus a little more energy, but it's still basically just .40s&w in a slightly longer case. It does have...

    Cybertruck launch

It's still kinda a risky blanket statement to specific calibers, you COULD load a supersonic .45 acp using very light bullets and pushing the saami pressures, but it's not common or really a usable round that anyone would commercially sell as it would be very unstable in flight. I also wouldn't...

    Cybertruck launch

Also there is nfw that the steel is stopping any rounds that are actually moving, ie 5.56 at >2000 fps. That stuff tears up even the most durable ar500 steel targets especially when shot <100 yds. Most target grade 115gr 9mm like they were shooting in the demo clip will be subsonic (1050 fps or...

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

Weight + <10k GVWR target. Just math with expected battery size. I was wondering if they'd be able to pull out a magic trick to hit their target numbers, but it didn't seem possible. Haven't seen anyone post the door sticker yet

Bellevue Location no longer doing deliveries?

That's a good question, I'm guessing since the item in question is physically in your possession it would be home sales tax rate. Usually the location of the tangible property at time of transaction is the deciding factor. I can't say I'm an expert on leases. Fortunately our state the sales...

Snow chains for a model Y

SZ429 seems to fit the 19s on our MYLR, but just barely and requires a little muscle getting them connected. I did get them on doing a test fit in the driveway.
