Mine is a Fremont build. Not sure of the build date yet. I think I’ll be able to let them deliver it to the Clarkston, MI service center and do their inspection/detailing here. Hoping I don’t have to make that drive unless absolutely necessary.

Yeah, probably. Red/White? I’ve looked up the Tesla location - It’s a 3.5 hr drive from my house north of Detroit, so I can’t just drop everything and go. But if need be, I will.

SA told me my car is currently at the Tesla in Cleveland and should be delivered to MI on 7/21. Hoping it’s then or earlier, otherwise, I may take a drive to Cleveland to pick it up!

Me too. Wire for payment will go through first thing Monday morning. Hope that’s fast and the car is close. Sucks being in a state where Tesla can’t sell vehicles in.

I was told by my SA this morning that when my MY is fully paid, it can sometimes take a week or more for delivery to Michigan. If that’s the case, I won’t get my car until I’m back from being out of town on vacation for a couple of weeks. *sigh*

EDD6: 7/15-724 (7/13) My bank took too long to get my loan and wire transfer to Tesla done before close yesterday, so I’ll have to wait until Monday. Hoping to have things move fast to get my Y and title figured out by the end of next week. So close… I think.

About how much time is it from the “Soon” text until getting a VIN?

I’ve had the same text thread since the day I placed the order (only time a name of Joe was given) and I’ve only communicated that way with Tesla since. The local delivery center replied via the same thread, so I’m assuming it’s just Tesla and likely not the actual local delivery center.

EDD3: Received a call and text from my local delivery center saying my VIN will be assigned “Soon”. (7/3) EDD3.5: Jul-Aug (7/4)

If Tesla is pushing to deliver before quarter end, It’s not looking like I’ll be one of them. I’m still stuck on my Jun-Jul 2023 after having a date range.

It took 8 days from order to delivery for me in Michigan.

I'd take those changes over going from a date range back to Jun-Jul 2023.

Maybe Tesla is trying to push people for inventory sales to sell quicker than fresh builds? I text my SA and got a canned response back: “It is normal if the vehicle wasn't able to be produced from the factory, are you able to consider a more readily available vehicle on the Tesla Inventory...

Yep! I understand. That why I said take sit for what it’s worth. I want what he said to be true since I order a red/white 5 seater, but I’m not believing or expecting it.

Take this for what it's worth, but I text my SA today and they said there wasn't a backlog or delay on white interiors - "It's all based on estimated delivery timelines."
