These staggered set ups don’t need to be rotated, even tire shops have told me this. I got good life out of mine and they wore evenly and perfectly and I didn’t rotate on my last set. Costco beat discount tire by $100 a tire too ;)

Costco - they beat the price by $100 each tire on my new Michelin pilot sport 4s I bought. Service guys are a bit flustered when it’s busy but they did a good job

I agree on both points ha. The tech did make sense with the “steering column cover piece” as being sourced. But he replaced it and it didn’t stop it for very long. It does sound like it’s coming from that area, love my car and just want it quiet

Same here, surprised they’d say that. For us earlier plaid buyers, the spread on trading in wouldn’t be worth it rather than a few grand for race bucket seats. Hoping it’s not too crazy $$

If official retrofit is available, I’m guessing $5-6k for front seats and install. What’s everyone else guess?

Don’t agree at all. The first iteration felt like a squishy sponge. This has texture and a heft to it… but to each their own

That makes sense. It definitely seems not as porous and grainy as the last iteration. I’m sure they’ll be using that formula going forward on a lot of the interiors.

Wow, the new yoke is the way it’s supposed to be. Feels like a sports car wheel now, much thicker and softer. Really changes the feel and drive experience. I had a nice Escalade V and this feels really close to that. Sucks that Tesla gave us cheap crap before they realized it wouldn’t work.

People need to understand this more. The creaks suck, but it’s the crappy part about Tesla. I have gone on for issues like creaks and they ripped my tint, scratched my paint and side view mirrors and tried to cover it up. I had to fight them to make it right. Only go to a service center if...

I have a 22 S Plaid and had rattles in the steering column, front hood, rear latch and front driver seat. Most were corrected, but some still persist :/ Love the car in spite of all this

UPDATE: Manager called me, and was very apologetic, he said he had no clue why any of the damage was hidden, and that they will make it right. A different tone than the service guy at the desk. Thank you for the advice, especially the member that told me to message in the app, it forced them...

Well Tesla has a new answer for that, they aren’t denying they did it, just “they don’t cover aftermarket accessories and parts.” LOL🥲

Sucks to hear that, but glad you have a good connection there! I don’t expect much in life, I know I’m not more important than anyone else, but just blown away that they tried to cover-up damage to my car and then had the audacity to say, “we don’t cover aftermarket parts.” I never expected...

Any reasonable person would agree with that. I was just very shocked the service rep took such a hard stance against it and pushed back after threats of legal action if I didn’t even get a phone call… which I still haven’t.

Replaced the door gasket seals with the new plastics and the side view mirror on that side due to it peeling lol… tesla quality control at its finest. I was an early plaid owner… bought in 2021

Going to do it tomorrow. I like that idea. I created the paper trail with service rep and then I attached the chain to the main service center email.

Yeah, not that they care obviously but im an early adopter of Tesla and my plaid. Crappy to see that their service protocol is to hide mistakes and then adamantly refuse to pay for it lol. Not asking for much; just to be made whole.

The fees per hour would be more than my damages. We are talking $200 for tint and maybe $500 for paint fix. Was just hoping someone had some positive stories on Tesla not being terrible.

Is it really worth that cost? From what I saw, the “new” red brakes and calipers aren’t fundamentally different?

They just told me a new option will be rolling out for this kit, $2700 plus tax LOL. Same brakes but red pretty much and we all paid way more. Elon ducked us again
