You are correct, one needs to wait until the pressure equalizes to open the open door. What makes this particularly problematic is typically a car will flip upside down, so there's that as well.
Thank you for the link.
Between the registration fee and the license fee, the significant reduction in vehicle value will not make much change on my four figure annual fee. Perhaps $100 but it is not worth the effort or fight.
Was wondering if it's possible to get a reduction in the renewal fee reflecting an approximate 50% value drop in one year? Has anyone had any luck getting the fee reduced in California? My renewal is close to $1200 which seems high for a car valued at $60-$70,000?
Camera button. So you can take a picture? Why would you want to take a picture when all the cameras are running all the time? Sounds like a waste of a good button?
That's been my experience as well. I cannot remember the last time a physical turn signal, gearshift or button failed to work the first time and every time.
Well I guess that's good to know, I am also in the 25 to 50% success rate. I thought my failure rate with the touch screen was something I...
Not only is it distracting to find the right area to press on the screen when driving but it sometimes takes two or three attempts for the screen to recognize the input.
Does anyone have 100% success touching the screen only one time?
This is such an important topic even if covered here ad nauseam,
I was hoping someone can point to the posts up thread that answer DaveE's questions if unwilling to answer him directly. How can we expect others to change lifestyles and economies if this group is unwilling to debate, educate or...
Never say never.
When you say you do not think EV's are "any answer", do you mean vehicles with electric motors, or EV's with today's battery technology? I believe, setting the fuel source aside, it is difficult to argue that the internal combustion engine is better than an electric motor on...
I wonder if it's worth doing a poll whether the update solved the midrange vibration under light throttle problem?
Fortunately for me now, it's a nonissue. I hope the same for everyone else but hope appears not to be enough in a few cases.
Well that's not as onerous as I thought. I thought it was five warnings.
It still would suck if you have accumulated 4 and then you start a long distance trip and you could be out for the whole vacation with one slip up.
As I understand the new update, if you are kicked out of autopilot five times, autopilot remains disabled for one week. Is it five times during one drive, or five times in a week or once five disengagements are reached during any length in time?
I think it may be more productive to create a separate thread to discuss creating opinion threads or how to best determine their validity.
For those who do not think this thread has any merit or find it uninteresting, why post?

As inconsequential as this thread appears to you, it does bring out and highlight some user interface shortcomings and preferences. As you know, if there is enough pushback in certain areas Tesla has on occasion listened to the owners.
I think most would agree there is always room...
Voice commands are fine but also have drawbacks. There is a whole list of voice command disadvantages and drawbacks up thread.
As to physical buttons, even Tesla realizes their importance or they would have not included them on the wheel\yoke and a few other places throughout the car.
Most clearly understand the advantages of a touchscreen. You do realize there are also some limitations and disadvantages? Many like me like the screen but would also prefer a few more programmable buttons, perhaps on the wheel\yoke, under or alongside the touchscreen or console.
I don't believe I mentioned anything about critical functions. I said "I don't think anyone can deny that pressing a screen for a function doesn't always work on the first press, so that's a failure right there! When this happens while driving it is particularly frustrating and can be...
Display panels fail as well and then you are toast.
More importantly, I don't think anyone can deny that pressing a screen for a function doesn't always work on the first press, so that's a failure right there! When this happens while driving it is particularly frustrating and can be hazardous.
That would depend on one's use. Particularly in every day urban, going to work, going to the grocery store use there is no need to carry around the additional complexity, maintenance and redundancy of ICE. In this respect, hybrids are the worst of both worlds.
While I love the screen it would be hard to convince me that this interface is better than physical, tactile knobs and buttons for important functions while driving. This is particularly true on a bumpy or curvy surface and even more so in heavy traffic.
In addition, there have been many times...
I would double check that the update was successful. There's no doubt 2023.44.1 took care of the vibration experienced under very light acceleration in the 38 to 48 mph range. At least in my case, after several days of trying to re-create the vibration this particular vibration is no longer an...
I would like to see some participants of this thread consider taking a page out of Shark Tank. The Sharks often make a statement or opinion followed by "and for those reasons I'm out".
Similarly, after posting an opinion or a link, this thread may benefit by an occasional," and for those...
I took 2023.44.1 on for another short spin. At least for me, the vibration at mid speed under mild acceleration is all but eliminated if not gone completely. It is a nonissue at this point for me. The initial vibration that goes away within a minute after a cold start seems to be reduced at...
I just took a drive after the update and I am happy to report my mid speed (38-50 mph) vibration under light acceleration has been significantly reduced if not eliminated completely. It could be a fluke or wishful thinking, but I do not think so.
At this point I cannot comment on the initial...
I really hope that shifting more torque to the rear motor will eliminate the 40 to 50-ish vibration. As a side benefit, I believe this would also provide a more even tire wear between front and rear. As it is now my fronts are wearing out faster than the rear.
Simply forgetting to file the one-page and annual report alone would not cause the radio silence, "gag" order and vacation of the premises. I have no idea what's going on but it is more than just a clerical error.
Assuming the dissolution of the LLC was caused by deteriorating financial health, what makes you think that there would be any assets in the LLC to be dispersed?
Had my appointment at the service center today so they could implement the service bulletin. Unfortunately, the update is not available yet. They said it may be over the air but they do not know when this point.
My software is 2023.32.9. According to the above I need correction code S012300005. How do I use or get this correction code? Does this require an appointment, mobile perhaps?
