    will yoke steering be non-linear?

    Yes

    Supercharger - Northville, MI

The bigger question is where the service center will be. Maybe that’s hanging up the SC location

    Tesla wins in Michigan!!!

You would think they’d have a team of people on this as it could add substantially to demand and cut service costs for them and make existing MI customers happy. I didn’t renew my MS lease for this reason.

    Tesla wins in Michigan!!!

That is what I’m waiting for. Hopefully in Novi area. Then back to MS

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

I didn’t search the whole thread but it would seem we need to get more mainstream exposure. If you google the hashtags, the iPhone is most prominent. Googling in general doesn’t show much, on first few pages anyway. (Except for this thread if you get specific). Am I missing something? I’m...

    Who has ordered?

Won’t fit in garage. Probably back to S in a year or so - and it holds more cargo than most trucks.

    App Connection down?

    Same here on IOS.

    What's your 90%?

    2016 85D. 17,700 miles. Range charge ~20 times. Lots of supercharging. 90% = 246 miles. 247 new. 100% = 272 miles. 273 new.

    How low have you gone?

Commonly roll into SC with under 20 miles. I mostly do this is summer months where range is much more predictable. Watch the percentage estimate and try to hold that constant on long legs. I use app called inRoute to judge terrain on a particular leg. Elevation kills battery so add buffer in...

    Model S can swim???

Fully agree. The whole chassis is essentially emmersed and future corrosion problems will arise. Most ICE ingest water into the intake - crippling the engine. EV don't have this problem. But, if for some reason you stop in the puddle, water will enter the cabin then you're toast.

    AC Noise - Loud!

Funny I'm seeing this thread. Recently noticed the same exact thing. 2016 85D. Also thought it was battery cooling, but turn AC off and noise is gone. But the variable is it's getting hot out! 95f every day. So, it's loud and sometimes a bother, but the AC works great! The other variable...

Help me not be an idiot

If you can, lease it. Three years with monthly well below $1k/month. Future proof. The math roughly equals ownership for six years and you get the next S when you may be able to buy. That's what I did. If you can afford, get AP and UHFS.

    What's your 90%?

Seems a bit lucky I know based on reading through other experiences. Mine is a lease though. I still need an S110D and I'm praying for it when lease is up! Also, I will purchase the next one. Based on current usage, I'll owe Tesla $4K for overage!
  14. EVgeek

    What's your 90%?

I think it's low. My 4 month old 85D is still a rock @ 248 with 6k miles. 19" wheels. Supercharger 25+ times. Lifetime 306 Wh/m. But all driving has been in nicer weather.

Be honest: is SCing on a long trip annoying?

    3,500 mile adventure

I hear ya. I would consider if they lowered the price for AP purchase enabled after purchase. My next S will certainly have it since I'll be able to roam the country easier then. As it stands, if I did these road trips every year, I'd certainly break the 36,000 lease barrier.

    3,500 mile adventure

Like stated , my autopilot was a trial. I didn't purchase the option since I'm leasing. Supercharger's are really easy. Pull in and plug in. Read through other posts on charging and helpful details. Have fun!

Tool to estimate the head wind while driving !

For routes I was unsure of, I used an app called inRoute. inRoute It tells me wind, rain, temp, elevation, and curviness for the route at the time you travel it. I mainly used it for elevation. Wind speed didn't seem to affect range much.

    3,500 mile adventure

2016 85D. Now with 5,800 miles ODO. Last few weeks I traveled from Saint Petersburg Florida, to Franklin Tennessee, to Novi Michigan. My return trip took me through Canada to northern New Jersey, then back to Florida. Total electricity used- Just over one megawatt-hour. Trip total 3445.3...

    Autopilot lease roll-over

Wouldn't it be great if autopilot upgrades rolled over to next lease or purchase. Paying the same amount for leases prevent me from purchasing the upgrade. Also, I'd love a TACC only upgrade.

    CLUNK

Maybe rear differential issue. Happens more when back wheels are at different speeds. Turning, high acceleration. An idea.
  22. EVgeek

    What's your 90%?

So now 745 miles ODO, Florida weather warning, up to 248@90%. 85D, 19"

App access down for anyone else?

    Same @5:56ET
  24. EVgeek

    What's your 90%?

    2016 85D. 90%=245. But less than 500 miles ODO.
