For some unknown reason, Tesla decided not to implement blind spot cameras in S until 2021. It does appear the hardware would support. Maybe because of the vertical screen orientation which was changed to horizontal in 2021.

Yes, Tesla service can install a new communication card which also comes with the adapter. In your app, go to Service >Request Service >Upgrades and Accessories >CCS retrofit. I can't remember how much it costs but it's $300-$400. Mobile service did mine.

The answer is both. In order to receive the full 48 amp output it needs to be connected to a 60 amp breaker. Code only allows for an 80% continuous output of the breaker rating.

The probable reason you're getting the warning is because the HV battery was replaced. Your original battery didn’t have the pyrofuse that had the limited life. The new battery they put in has the pyrofuse that has its own battery and has a finite lifetime.

I don't know how long it actually takes since I did it at the same time as other service that was held up waiting on a part but there were zero problems afterwards and it actually fixed a couple of annoying issues. This is a great upgrade and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

I've used Gen 3's on my 2014 at hotels without issue. There are also two versions of Gen 1, I believe the problem of it not working on newer cars is only the original version. I have a Gen 1 v2 and it works fine on newer cars.
