Not all of Washington is 10.5% I think in my corner the rate for car sales is 8.6%

I also live about 4 hours from the same delivery center in WA. Once my delivery is scheduled this is my biggest concern, mailing the trip cross state and it not being there/ready/damaged.

I'm torn between potential home delivery or the 'delivery experience' at a sales location, because the nearest sales location/service center is ~ 3.5 hours drive across the state...and potentially over the mountain pass in the late fall early winter.

I had a similar screen for up here in Washington. I even tried changing my zip code to the same as the Seattle delivery and it still would only give me the option of delivery at home. I wonder if this is default for everyone and once our delivery date gets closer there will be more communication...

I've had this same thought and I've gone back and forth on it. For me, I'm thinking that since I should be in the next batch of orders, I may try and get my financing in place July 1 or so, and be ready to go when I'm able to configure.

To me the $100/yr for the internet isn't that big of a deal, it's like $8/month. For me, I don't understand how they can possibly stick to the May-July delivery window at this point if invites haven't gone out yet. I gotta think that July is practically booked for deliveries at this point.

Same here. My current car is paid off at the end of the year. So I plan on making that payment to my Model 3 account. That plus freelance checks, and selling my current ICE should help pay for many of the options I'd like to get.

I don't see a black bar behind the display/steering wheel. That's a gap between the black dash and the white trim. I would bet that's the new air flow system we've heard about. You can see on the far right side a definite gap between the 2 pieces.

So the modification to WA EV legislation hasn't been sent to the governor yet, but the Senate is proposing limiting the sales tax exemption to the first $40k, while the House wants to restrict it to only under $35. Hoping the Senate at least wins out.

Over here on the other side of the state, my rates are 'massively' cheaper than yours at $0.06/KWh ;) It is one of the advantages of our area. That and the lack of sales tax on EVs up to $35k

Just as a note. My confirmation email didn't come in until over 24 hours after I made my reservation. But the date Tesla has when I login to 'My Tesla' is the day I put my reservation in. So your initial questions might need some verbiage tweaking.

Has anyone traded in a vehicle when purchasing their Tesla? Do they provide good value for the trade in? I'm debating whether to do this when getting my model 3 or just selling my current VW privately/myself.

They've been in cars longer than that. Recently heard a podcast, and a guy mentioned his 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix (I think that was the model) had a HUD, granted it's basic. So the tech isn't new. It all depends how detailed the HUD could be.

The way you read it and the way Electrek (More EVs will get a sales tax break of ~$3,000 in Washington state starting in July) is reading it is the same. Living in Washington, I'm stoked about this.

Tesla had created this video talking about the tax credit and financing 3 years ago. It seems like they're trying to do something different than just a tax credit you'd claim when you filled out your taxes. Am I wrong or have things changed since then? Anyone with any insight on this?

This is the most likely change to happen to the front end. With the X and now the X, Tesla is establishing their signature front end in the same way the BMW has their kidney grill. It's the new (and foreseeable) design language for their vehicles.

If they bring the treatment they used on the X, that'd likely do what you're talking about.
