How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

Solved, here's the process. Somehow the auto lock when walk away I set years ago had somehow been turned off. Car -> Screen -> Control -> Vehicle -> enable Walk-Away Door Lock -> enable Mirror Auto-Tilt. (free process, not to be used by Tesla Service Centres charging $100's of dollars to those...

How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

I think I misunderstood NewbyMaye? I will tried the car's screen padlock, rather than the phone Tesla app padlock, but issue still remains. @KArnold 30 seconds sounds perfect, as I'm not bothered once to hop out of the car, but if putting the car in Park sometimes when sitting in the car...

How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

There were 2 fobs provided at purchase and yes the original owner. Test 1: on the iPhone X iOS Version 16.3.1 -> Tesla app (version v4.30.6-2531) -> main page -> I select the unlocked padlock icon -> the padlock closed -> the car's mirrors folded. Test 2: on the iPhone X iOS Version 16.3.1 ->...

How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

Yes, the car opens without a fob. There's only 1 fob, as the 2nd fob stopped working. The fob is ~5 metres away from the car, through 2 walls and in a drawer. Just put the fob inside a Faraday bag to block EMFs (electro magnetic fields), but the car still opens without a fob?

How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

How do you get in your car without a fob? My car only has a fob or the Tesla mobile app. The key fob is maybe 5 metres away through 2 walls. Even at the shops, I park the car and the mirrors don't auto fold. Seems so simple to me: car in park -> mirrors fold.

How to set the mirrors of my Model S to fold automatically after locking the car?

The auto fold doesn't work on my Tesla Model S October 2016. I have set the mirrors to auto-fold when parked. I have also set the mirrors to auto-fold in this location (home). Why don't the mirrors auto-fold whenever I'm parked for at least 30 seconds?

Need to replace the worn out Tesla Model S door rubber trim along the rear bottom. How can I replace with the same or will any do?

    Model name of my seat?

    This list seems to be all names available: Gen 1 2012-2014 (Q4) Gen 2 2014 (Q4) - 2015 Gen 3 (next gen seats) 2015-2016 Gen 4 (tesla premium) 2017 - present

    Model name of my seat?

I have an October 2016 Model S and the driver seat broke the bit inside bit that moves the vertical seat from flat to up position. I'm looking for a 2nd hand seat, but am unsure on the seat model to search and buy. Any help how to find seat model name types or what mine might be please?

Console sliding lid snaps, doesn't soft close

Not yet. I'm sure it's a simple spring being reattached to a hook, but to access this, needs a contortionist or pulling out a seat and then console. Maybe a mirror and light, but I'm not that far yet.

    Clarity on multiple charging adapters

I think I need the SAE J1772 adapter, only available on the US Tesla store. Need to be sure 3rd parties have the correct adapter before buying. Will take more pics. Also, a 3 phase connector might be handy, but probably cost a fortune.

Hello, I'm trying to be clear on what charging adapters I need, before I buy superfluous items that could be purchased in an efficient one bulk purchase. I'm confused as there are many different specifications and is inconsistent across sources. My travelling is in a Tesla Model S 2016 in...

How can I replace park brake shoes/pad?

Yes, park brake pads are so low there's some metal scraping, so might need to replace the rotors. Tesla only sells a "kit" for $390. A kit includes a whole new park brake fit, not just the pads. I searched in many places. Thanks for your awesome link. That should do the trick.

How can I replace park brake shoes/pad?

I checked and the brake pad wear may be from the Hold feature. As I drive a lot, I also use Hold a lot. Tesla only sell expensive park brake kits. 3rd party online retailers sell a pair for $10, but in lots of 100. Haven’t found a shop retailer with the smaller sized park brake pads, just the...

    Squeaky seat, not touching console

Ok, researching how to take apart the seat. Issue seems to be with larger people...I'm 180 cm and 90 kg. Rich Rebuilds says with pliers, the leather front will come apart from the plastic back. This should let me spray WD40 to stop any possible internal squeaks. Unsure if the front will...

    Where is the 12V fuse?

I found out the USB cable was bumped behind the MCU, so I wonder if the cigarette lighter wire has been bumped? I used a multimetre and checked every fuse under the frunk and all had power. Thanks, but all the fuse diagrams on the Internet and Stromi's are not like my fuse box. As per my 2...

    Where is the 12V fuse?

Thanks, I checked with the Service Centre, but they only knew of the fuse box under the frunk, as per my photo attachments. Funnily enough, after 3 days at the Service Centre to collect parts, now the cigarette lighter and centre USB power is gone. Just 1 USB power on the left remaining to...

    Where is the 12V fuse?

My Tesla Model S 2016 October Facelift Model has lost 12V power. I opened the frunk, remover trim covers and opened the fuse box. The fuse box cover says refer to manual, however nothing in the manual about fuses. The Internet has different fuse boxes that don’t correlate to mine. Please see...

Powered frunk won't open or close as latch too strong

Sprayed Lithium Grease over latch. Bonnet seems to open okay. However closing leaves strange noises with the latch motor which I'm checking up with the manufacturer.

Powered frunk won't open or close as latch too strong

I installed a powered frunk and at the maximum settings (which are a bit frightening when it slams) opens and closes maybe 10% of the time. This can't last or be right. I cleaned the hood latch whilst installing, so there's no lubricant on the latch, which I might try. More pertinent, I don't...

    Can’t find the tow hole?

    Squeaky seat, not touching console

    Door trim clip size

Thanks, I ordered some door clips as per the right pair in my photo. The left pair don't seem to hold as I've had 3 door panels pull off, towards the inside of the car at the largest pressure point, where people pull the handle and the outer corner comes out.

    Door trim clip size

My door trims come off now and then, so I'm looking to order my own door clips to fix myself. I'm confused by what size to buy though? I found a few suppliers and non official Tesla information on genuine and non genuine door clips. The problem is, I have only taken my car to the official...

Front left window wind noise if fully up

How can I set the window to move up about 99% of the way? I have read how to re calibrate windows, however this just sets the window to fully down or up. I find when moving the window down for a split second, the wind noise stops. The wind noise occurs when driving > 80 km/h.

    Trim frunk top split/broken

After a Service Centre job, the frunk top trim where the fragile vent bits are, have been broken. This is easy to cause as pulling out the frunk top trim is tight and needs a wiggle to fit out past the bonnet struts. Shop wouldn't replace it from memory and I find no 2nd hand parts on the...

    Squeaky seat, not touching console

How to take out and apart the 2016 seats? I have read multiple squeaky seat threads, which describe the seat symptom of sounding like an old taxi. However I can't see how to take apart the seats?
