I have been having the same problem with both my key fobs. (TESLA X 2016 90D) I had tesla service change the batteries on both my key fobs and it worked well for 1-2 days then failed. I do have a SC app. tomorrow will update with the progress I still have to do the MCU1 replacements...

UPDATE! After emailing them; Tesla did offer to install the tires even without purchasing the tires from Tesla. Thanks @bhzmark

Tesla should be consistent regardless of which state. I understand prices could very. But Tesla service, core values, and their policy shouldn't very by state. If this in the case. Its time for me to reactivate my twitter accounts. :)
