    Supercharger - Auburn, WA

For those who are planning to go Paradise, Mt Rainier My Model X used 45kWh for round trip of Auburn Supercharger <=> Paradise visitor center (typical early summer weather, Model X 75D pre-raven / 35 kWh for hiking up, 10kWh for winding down)

Thanks for posting this. But I think Canada Supercharger locations is more proper place to post this. This forum is for Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington locations as description under title says.

I went there end of July and it seems like hasn't started yet :) Can't wait chargers are coming!

    99 Tunnel in Seattle

Is manual updated? IIRC, when I read manual (about 1.5 yr ago) there was no statement of "tunnel". It only said "divided highway" which also applies to SR-99 tunnel

Model X Tire Replacement (M+S/All Season Tire) in Seattle Area?

Our tires are being worn out and time to replace has come. Not sure which is best option for replace OEM tires? (all season = M+S) I tried to search threads but most of them were about winter tires or many years ago. Does people normally come to service center and replace them with another OEM...

    Enumclaw Supercharger- Any News?

If someone traveling from East Washington to Mt Rainier, Cle Enum would be the last SC before hitting Sunrise and it needs more charge on the way. (Issaquah SC is urban type and super crowded at the peak time and weekend / Tesla recently forced 80% charging limit on this location, busy time...

Wow if it's supercharger, then Tesla owners will be able to go Paradise, Mt Rainier! finally!

    Enumclaw Supercharger- Any News?

I think "coverage" is more important than demand. Tesla should cover most of territory first, then put supplementary charger. it's shameful to say "I cannot (or risky) go Paradise in Mt. Rainier with my Tesla" while Rainier NP is one of the most visited NP in the country.

    Bellevue - Vancouver and back

Average winter temperature (around 40F?), range mode on, cabin temp 70~72 If you drive +10 mph all the time, energy consumption would be same as me. (I was slowed down by traffic near Everett, Marysville, and border)
  14. modamoda

    Bellevue - Vancouver and back

I do that regularly in Winter with my X 75D, you should have no issue. I generally travel between Bellevue - Whistler, and it took 50kWh from Bellevue - Surrey SC. This is photo that I took at Surrey SC, "trip Whistler" started from Bellevue (near Issaquah SC)
  15. modamoda

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

Right, I would do that if I can do with my X 75D in winter. Unfortunately, to make it possible(hitting Squamish without charge), I might need to drive slower than traffic with chilly cabin temp. (hills and HVAC decreases efficiency worse than expected) I would not say hitting one is worse than...

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

For someone who's taking trip starting from Seattle, charging speed of Surrey is faster than Burlington. it only needs 22kWh from Seattle to Burlington. So charging speed is under 70kW due to full battery. I don't have Nexus, so I always pay attention to border wait times (which is bookmarked...

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

It looks like you know "local hack" on how to hit Whistler efficiently. Which route do you usually take? (I used to take BC-15 > TC-1 > BC-99 which hits Surrey SC. I avoid Lions Gate Bridge due to heavy traffic)

    NoA in Canada

If your journey is starting from US, you can use NoA in Canada until some point (does not know criteria) I had a travel from Seattle to Whistler, and saw it worked in TransCanada Highway. (didn't work in BC-99) In the contrast, If you start from Canada, you cannot use NoA even you cross border...

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

With Model X 75D, 40 kWh was needed when you're heading for Whistler from this Supercharger (may vary by temp and personal driving habit) I used 40.1 kWh with cabin temp 21~22C (maybe 71F?) and outside temp was 3C(Surrey) Downtown Seattle => (24.2kWh) => Burlington SC => (24.6kWh) => Surrey SC...

    Enumclaw Supercharger- Any News?

Sunrise can be covered by Issaquah SC. it consumed 50kWh energy for roundtrip with Model X Has anyone ever been to Sunrise visitor center (Mt. Rainier) with 75D?

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

Energy consumption to several major destinations (X75D in summer time / round trip) - Leavenworth SC (via US-97) - 92 kWh - Sunrise Visitor Center, Mt Rainier NP - 50kWh - Downtown Seattle - 12kWh - Centrailia SC > Issaquah SC (one way) - 35kWh

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

It's already overflowing at the peak time. As of 18:20 on Friday, I just took the last spot. I'm under the impression that average charging time is much longer than supercharger for road trip. Maybe most people want to charge close to 100% - while people generally charge just enough to hit next...

The last status I remember was just "late 2018" without fall. I haven't seen specific deadline yet like this. But I still think it's hard to meet "fall" deadline :P

    Supercharger - Snoqualmie, WA

I traveled Bellevue - Crystal Mountain several times last winter. I don't know in detail how Tesla navigation works, but it occasionally routes me to I-90 > exit 25 > WA-18 > WA-169: It definitely hits Issaquah SC. (WA-18 has higher speed limit than Front st, Issaquah, maybe this might be a...

    Supercharger - Bellevue, WA

I'm not sure when was this updated, but Tesla homepage says "Fall" 2018. (still targeting date though)
  30. modamoda

    Supercharger - Snoqualmie, WA

I meant... Sunrise traffic will still use Issaquah SC, but cross Cascades traffic needn't stop by there. without Snoqualmie SC, Issaquah will handle Sunrise + Crystal Mountain + Snoqualmie + Cross Cascades with Snoqualmie SC, Issaquah will only handle Sunrise + Crystal Mountain
  31. modamoda

    Supercharger - Snoqualmie, WA

Based on Issaquah SC thread, it looks like there will be only 8 urban chargers - which would not be sufficient to handle peak traffic[1]. I think Snoqualmie SC will also have small/fair number of chargers to handle cross Cascades traffic. [1]: it's major waypoint to 2 popular ski areas in...

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

yayyy~~ finally, I'll be able to hit Whistler with single charge! I'm not sure about Tesla's policy or recommendations, but I'm under the impression they're avoiding to build non-urban charger in metropolitan area. (with few exceptions)

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

Installing 110v outlet/EV charger in ski area (or wilderness area) is more difficult than we think. Extending 7kWh power cable for L2 charger is not cheap, also outlet's should be water/weather-proof.

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

Makes sense. But for me, I always go to Whistler with at least one stop for dinner - which means urban charger speed is okay. I kinda feel wasting time either one of Burlington or Squamish. (it could be actually not wasting time for overall trip time, but I feel like so, emotionally) As X75D...

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

I’m more worried about “peak” demand, especially in winter time. This is the only supercharger which will handle two popular ski areas. Also in summer time, it’s the only charger to Sunrise, Mt. Rainier. (Until the opening of Enumclaw SC)
  37. modamoda

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

Whoa, didn't see this coming! As X75D owner and ski lover Seattleite, I always had to stop two superchargers (Burlington & Squamish) when I hit Whistler. This will reduce my stops to single! Such a nice location.
  38. modamoda

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

I'm more worried about occupied with Teslas especially in peak ski season. This "waypoint" is heading for two popular ski area in WA. (Crystal and Snoqualmie) As I've seen in fully occupied Whistler Supercharger, same thing could happen to here since there's 8 urban chargers.

A little bit off topic, I also tried Bellevue-Crystal multiple times for skiing. It was also scary for me for the first few tries, but now I'm confident with this route with my X 75D without charging. But Issaquah SC will definitely help those who's living far from Seattle. in case of you...

From PSE: Costs are based on average PSE residential rates for electric service ($.088594 per kWh [first 600 kWh] and $0.107172 [remaining kWh]) and natural gas service ($.97449 per therm) as of February 2013. Rates are based on usage of 1,000 kWh per month and 68 therms per month. These rates...

Supercharger - Issaquah, WA (LIVE Oct 2018, 8 Urban stalls)

Adding my two cents: if your electricity company is Puget Sound Energy, supercharging is more expensive then home charging. (still far more cheaper than gas, of course)

    Supercharger - Burlington, WA

I just noticed "weird" layout in this station. unlike other stations (as far as I know), the layout is [1A 2A 3A 4A 1B 2B 3B 4B] it's not [1A 1B 2A 2B ...] So beware of this layout when you stop by and don't plug in slow charger.
