I think we should be able to predict demand by new sign ups at TMC. Monthly active users etc. I can't imagine someone placing an order and not coming to TMC while still waiting for the car.

I am not sure about Q3 but I am more optimistic for Q4 demand. Many of the Tesla admirers will be attracted by the low-priced Model S 60 option. Hopefully, Model S demand picks up in Q3 as well.

Yes. Trading Tesla is a difficult strategy but I think we should hedge by loading up some puts on Tuesday. We never know what surprises Elon may have to offer in the next few weeks.

I think mathematically 50K deliveries for rest of the year will be challenging as they have only delivered 30K cars for now. Ramping up production and delivery at the same time is not going to be easy.

I think what we missed in our forecast for Q2 is the timeline for delivery to customers. Even though production runs at @2K per week, the delivery is more at 1300 per week. I also see that they guided the total deliveries to less than 80K. The initial guidance was about 80K to 90K.
