Thoughtful decision making discussion and I think you are making the right call. I am on my third model S now, sometimes it is 2 steps forward and (hopefully temporary) 1 step back with Tesla.

Mine work perfectly with the large dots regardless of centration. I tried the smaller buttons and they did not work well for me. So it seems to vary yoke to yoke. Not a big investment to try both :)

Oops..I meant: Cabin camera is covered or blinded

My MS LR sometimes gives me this error message and disables AP usually in the evening after a humid day of Florida rain. Cleaning the interior camera does not help. It resolves by the next morning. Anyone else getting this error? Any thoughts or suggestions besides asking for service center...

I removed one after 2 weeks to replace for better centering and saw no residue. Maybe after years that might be different but I doubt it will be a significant issue.

+2. I have the same colors and was worried when I ordered especially since I had CF in my last model S, but love the white/walnut in person and actually prefer it to the CF. Let us know what you think when you take delivery.

Smart Summon has not worked on my refreshed Model S since I took delivery a few months ago. On the app it give the error message "Vision System Temporarily Degraded" or "Cannot Use in Current Location". I brought it to Tesla Service and they had no cure. Anyone else having this problem...

I agree, I really miss the ability to control fan speed from the right scroll wheel like I had in my 2018 MS. Interesting that the AP symbol has a dead button underneath--I could never understand why it was there.

I love my model S but don't always love the Yoke. Application of these $8 clear round buttons have made a world of difference. I can now feel the buttons and not have to look down before pressing. And interestingly, the buttons are now more, rather than less responsive. And I think they...

Once you get access to FSD beta, the safety score goes away. Hopefully that is the reason. After waiting 3 months with a 99 safety score, I finally got my FSD beta access last week.

I had FSD on my last model S but now waiting 3 weeks on my new model S (2021.43.201) with 100 safety score. Would be nice if the FSD acceptance followed you into the new car, right?

My rear deck cover was missing..set up a service appointment on the app and Tesla mobile delivered a couple of weeks later. My car did come with floor mats with a high quality that hugely exceeded the crappy floor mats in my previous 2016 and 2018 MS.

As far as the leather issue, I prefer the white vegan “leather” in my wive's Model X compared to the genuine black leather in my model S. Softer and more scratch resistant.

As others have mentioned, as long as Nav is not in the top window, the menu will not auto-hide. For instance, keep media player in the top window and nav in the bottom window.

As a late follow up, you guys were right. I set one to slave and the other to 80amps. Works perfectly with two Tesla's charging. Thanks again for the advice.

Umbrella with my Model S P90D last month but zilch with on delivery of our Model X 75D yesterday. I was hoping for more, not less with the second delivery.

Just picked up my wife's new Model X yesterday. Despite request for 8.0, came with 7.1 installed. Otherwise the model X is amazing. When I drive my model S, I have to open and close the door myself..it's inhumane :)

I feel the same way. Love my P90D and overall really pleased with v8.0 improvements. A lot of complaining on this otherwise awesome and useful forum. Maybe we should make the haters drive a loaner Cadillac for a few days as punishment ;)
