    A/C Compressor Noise

I'm having the same issue now when the fan speed is at 5. I've already had my air compressor replaced once before too last July with a 2nd gen model so, it seems like replacements also have the same defect.

    Software Update 2019.20.x

With the 20.4.2 update, my MCU1 does display the Arcade icon in the application launcher but I'm unable to open it for some reason. It also doesn't let me open the fireplace animation. Wondering if anyone else lost access to all of the arcade games.

    Software Update 2019.16.x

I’ve noticed this too. It does go away after a few minutes but still find it annoying when you see high beams go up automatically in broad daylight. Another nuisance that just started after this update is the ultrasonics going off when I start the car and reverse it. Going to SC in a couple of...

    Software Update 2019.16.x

I have HW2.0 and could not get either Lane Departure Avoidance and Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance to activate. The only feature that activates is the already existent lane departure warning with steering wheel vibration.

    Yellow Border

Crazy to think that Model S/X are flagship vehicles and yet, even their newer replacement touchscreens for it are of inferior quality when compared to Model 3. Come to think of it, Model S/X get the short end of the stick even on software feature front. Two critical safety features, Lane...

    Twitchy Behavior After Update

After receiving the latest update as well, I've also noticed the autopilot being a little more 'peppy' when making adjustments or accelerating from a stop. I thought it would continue to accelerate faster than previous version but sadly, I still find myself still pushing on accelerator since...

    DRL or No DRL?

What's the stance on driving with DRL's? Just saw two Model S' today which is not too common out here, driving with DRL's off during daytime. I leave it on purely for aesthetic purpose but I'm thinking most people have theirs turned off. Is it due to maybe the fear of them burning off quicker?

    screen discoloration

I recently had this problem with faint discoloration at the left edge of the touchscreen and the SC was able to replace with a new screen. So, I don't think it's a software issue and would push your local SC to have the screen changed.

    Great Service Experience

While I'm glad you had a positive experience, mine didn't go all that great when I went to SC yesterday to have air compressor replaced. First, SC didn't call me to notify when they got the part on Thursday. I could've made an appointment sooner which would've been more convenient for me but by...

    Scary Autopilot Scenario

Using AP on the current 2018.24.1, I've noticed a scary scenario where upon approaching this intersection from the left lane, AP will always want to aggressively swerve into the right lane and potentially collide into the traffic in that lane. Even when you have your hands on the wheel, if...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I told them that I don't have WiFi connection at home to download the maps and navigation so, I made an appointment to have it installed and they were able to download it which took about an hour. I noticed the difference in navigation and maps right away. The 2018.21.9 update was just uploaded...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

Received the update yesterday on AP2 and went from 2018.20. Have to say that I noticing regression in some areas such as phantom braking twice on my 60 mile commute today. Also noticed AP turning into another lane where lane markings were perfectly clear and had to take over to prevent colliding...

Flatbed to SC only 4 days after delivery

Seriously, why would SC warn you there there would be issues on a new car? If there were problems that they knew would pop up, they should’ve been proactive about the matter and postpone the delivery to fix them rather than giving you an advanced ‘warning’ and then hope everything will work...

    Software Update 2018.10.4

It's this type of scenario where I wish AP can be smoothed out similar to how auto lane change works now. Every time it sees a car in front making a turn or sees a car crossing way out in front of you, it slows the car too dramatically and I hear the juddering noise which I think may be the...

    Software Update 2018.10.4

Even though ultrasonics have always flashed in previous update iterations when I approached that guardrail during my daily commute, it would never beep at me. With this update now on AP2, not only do I hear this new warning beep, it also makes the car swerve away from the guardrail even if I was...

    Software Update 2018.10.4

With this latest update, I've noticed that even guardrails such as these that widen towards your lane sets off ultra sonics and make the car move away from it even if AP is not activated. This never happened to me before.

    Software Update 2018.10.4

With this latest update, it still seems like the AP is confused when there is a motorcycle in the adjacent lane. Software Update 2018.10.4

Another change that I've noticed with this update is while auto parallel parking before, it used to back into a car very close and then inch forward to park the car. Software Update 2018.10.4

    Software Update 2018.10.4

After hearing all the great things so far, I called my local SC today to have the update pushed OTA. I go to my S 100D today. No vanity mirrors or upgraded MCU

I hope the new upgraded MCU news will encourage everyone to be vocal about voicing the demand for getting a retrofit. Tesla has listened once before by offering free uncorking to distance S/X models from the 3. With the processor upgrade, they'll just be making Model S/X achieve parity with...

    Software Update 2018.10

I'm just hoping that these latest software updates are being disguised as small and trivial changes so that bigger files are being downloaded behind the scenes. Model S software updates

That's strange. I went to SC today here at Devon PA and requested the latest service update that came out this week. They acknowledged it and after installing the update, I was able to verify that was 2018.4.1. So glad to have the heated steering wheel stay on now!

    Autopark refuse to complete

    Autopark refuse to complete

Out of curiosity, what do you hate about your Tesla?

Same with me. I think the rattles were there when I initially brought my car but were accentuated when I installed my dash cam. I will have it addressed by the SC soon but I hope they don't dismiss the issue of loose panels as being caused by the dash cam installation. The other annoyance that I...

    Any 90D uncorkings?

I'd much rather have an option to upgrade the processor to make the maps UI and touchscreen faster and more responsive like the Model 3. Even if there is a way to uncork the 90D, I think that the difference will be minimal and hardly noticeable. Model 3 UI makes the Model S feel a bit antiquated...

    Tesla moments

Seriously, it's the little things like Summoning your Tesla which has become a trivial thing for us to do but to those not familiar with a Tesla, it's the coolest thing. I was at a superstore few months back and went into a restaurant to pick up food. When I got back, I saw a bunch of store...

Tell me why you love your dash cam?

I've had mine installed for 3 months now and haven't had any issues with sticking the adhesive to the tint to ruin it. You should never have to remove the adhesive mounting bracket itself since the rear cam can be easily detachable from it by pressing the lock button.

Tell me why you love your dash cam?

I had mine tinted 15% in the rear and the visibility is still great with my Blackvue 750 rear view cam even when there is low light. So, although the videos appear darker, it won't affect the quality and sharpness of the 1080p cam.

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

If a 90D is already able to do 0-60 in 3.8s, is there any chance of increasing its performance by a moderate degree if it is able to be uncorked? I would think it would just be minimal at best.

Are the premium upgrades worth $5,000?

I agree with getting PUP solely for the fact of having heated steering wheel and seats if you live in a cold climate area. My previous car had heated seats but I really wished it had heated steering wheel too. Using it now as the weather is getting chilly, I see it as an invaluable feature.

Has uncorking made other owners jaded?

I purchased my 90D for the range as well rather than its performance since 75D at the time of my purchase had the same 0-60 time. I don't regret that decision even if there's no chance of uncorking to bring the 4.2 sec time even lower. I'm glad 75D owners are getting the free uncorking service...
