Model X Snow Chains Australian Ski Fields

You likely have a point, but it would be good if Tesla customer service could just simply say that.

Model X Snow Chains Australian Ski Fields

It seems that in Victoria there is no option other than to risk either using an illegal chain or risk using another chain that may catch on the suspension. In an emergency we used a V2 traction KB461 265 with the suspension in "Very High" and kept the speed below 20km/hr and it went ok.

Model X Snow Chains Australian Ski Fields

Apparently the standard diamond chain snow chains are not compatible with the Model X as they wrap around the back of the tyre and get caught in the suspension. According to a snow chains fitter I spoke to the Tesla branded snow chains are illegal in Victoria as they are not diamond chains and...

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

Good thought. Not a work phone but some work related security permissions. Deactivated those accounts and restarted device but no improvement unfortunately.

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

Anyone else having difficulty controlling their Model S or X with Android version 3.1.0? I can see the car but all controls buttons on each page are greyed out and dont work. Climate "Turn on", Flash, honk, start, vent etc. It says "Updated 4 minutes ago" and seems to update the interior temp...

    8.1 in Australia

It won't be a learning cycle in the car. Either the cameras are calibrated and the AP is active or it's not. If it's not staying in the center of the lane on a freeway take it to a service center

Could not connect to home Wifi (Ubiquiti UniFi Long Range Access Point)

I have had issues with my car not keeping a solid connection but have come to realise that there is little value in a WiFi connection in any case. Most recent firmware updates have come over 3g anyway.

    8.1 in Australia

S AP2 8.1 on residential road is currently 50km/hr and at least 80km/hr on freeway, possibly more but haven't tested above that yet.

Has anyone obtained a Powerwall 2 installation quote yet?

Not on my contract as far as I'm aware with 8c/kW feed in tariff but I know some people with legacy feed in tariffs of 40c who have a 5kW limit. Not sure how they could tell whether you had a battery or not as all they should theoretically see is what is coming into and out of the property.

Has anyone obtained a Powerwall 2 installation quote yet?

Natural solar is the company that works in several cities as far as I'm aware

    Wiper Anomalies

My wipers are much noisier than all my previous cars too. Have seen another forum mention that the service center managed to improve theirs so I'll give that a shot.

Noisy Model S wipers since new?

Same issue here with same late 2016 model S. Have only had one day of rain so don't know if its a temporary or permanent phenomenon.

Australian AP2 cars with Enhanced Autopilot features?

The other thread didn't seem AP2 specific when initially checked.

Australian AP2 cars with Enhanced Autopilot features?

Any Australians with an AP2 car have any of the enhanced autopilot features working yet? I'm thinking about TACC and lane keep assist features.

    HomeLink Australia

Yes, that's works. But there are about 10 seconds of waiting unecessarily while the door opens. 10 seconds feels like forever when you know there is a solution. It's minor but annoying and fixable.

    HomeLink Australia

Best nearest solution I've been able to implement is a Gogogate opener and a geofencing with Macrodroid (Android) that opens the app when I get near home and allows me to open the door before I get home. Works well.

How do you tell if your car has enhanced autopilot activated?

Thanks for the reply guys, autosteer is not on the menu. Service are looking into it.
  32. J

How do you tell if your car has enhanced autopilot activated?

After buying a Model S AP2 with EA on the contract how does one check whether its activated? I know there is some calibration needed at first but on double flick of the lever there is no warning of any sort that autopilot is waiting for calibration.

Does lifetime charging include destination chargers?

As there are more destination chargers around this would greatly add to the value of the lifetime charging.

    Full self-driving capability Australia

Is there any point paying for the "Full self-driving capability" for a car in Australia? Is there likely to be any partial functionality? I would assume it its not legally allowed in the region its being sold it would not be an option at purchase.
