Anecdotal, but it def seems like less regen at higher speeds. Lower speeds seem the same to me with regards to coasting to a stop.

So when my car comes up to this sign in my neighborhood with AP engaged at 35mph, it begins to slow down on its own. Not fully, but down to maybe 20mph. Does it every time. No speed limit change on street or MCU. (Yes it’s a Model 3, but this thread seems more active!)

From what I’ve heard, if you click the voice command button and say “bug report” then briefly describe the problem, it sends a brief clip of video and radar to Tesla so they can review it. I do this for any phantom braking so they can hopefully use the images for training the NN not to hate...

You can just push the handle in a little bit (not enough to open) and it’ll let you unplug. Still annoying, but slightly more convenient than opening/closing door every time.

I think he means control the max speed preemptively before engaging AP. Maybe they think using the GPS speed limit plus your offset is sufficient? That’s my guess.

Most likely that they just had some extras VINs left to produce in that range. Seems the ranges line up with color/wheel choice, so when they switched back to manufacturing your config, they filled in the lower ones. Happened with my midnight silver aero, where I got a 51xx car made in March...

My car interior was 145 degrees sitting outside at work yesterday in Florida. Summer is here!! New update has great power saving. I think I lost 1mi over 10 hours or so. Once they get around fixing whatever was wrong with 10.5 you should be set!

Seems similar to Model 3 on 10.5 with the lane guidance bubbles. Is that different from the previous S version? (never had an earlier version of 3 software to compare either)

I was having same problem as you were, but I can try to replicate tonight. Did you make sure your car was in a deep sleep first? It may work if it’s partially awake.

It's true that it's the same NN, but we already know the NN is seeing way more than it is acting on or displaying for us. Not saying that there is any new behavior on this release, but it's very possible that AP will begin to display more of the info it gets from the NN, or act on things...

Noticed this too! A quick little push on the handle (not enough to pop it open though) seems to wake up the car and let you unhook it. Kinda strange tho.

Yup I was just testing it out due to S/X owners reporting that it works now. Wasn’t doing anything dangerous! Plenty of room to stop without even using brakes (just regen until the final little bit). Figured people would want to know!

Eh, the boards really aren’t that expensive. The PX2 pushes fewer TFLOPS than a 2 year old 1080 and has half the RAM on board. Granted it has some extra stuff on there, but when you are ordering them in the 100’s of thousands, there’s no way they go above $1k/board, especially as prices go down...
