Does anyone know if the lounge at Kettleman City is open?

I'm thinking about driving from SF to NY and was wondering if anyone has done a similar trip with the Model 3 LR 18" Aeros. Any tips or things to watch out for would be appreciated.

I'll take a picture of it tomorrow when I get back home. Pretty much the plastic square part with 2 holes and the 2 metal wires are all disconnected and I can't seem to put them back together or get them to go back into the connector.

I'm afraid I might have broken it. I don't think I pulled it out correctly.

I disconnected the connector to the speaker under the glove box in order to change the cabin filter and now I can reconnect it. Has anyone ran into this issue? I tried contacting Tesla and they want to charge me $96 just to diagnose the problem.

Yes, you can say that it functions as if you had a cell phone in your pocket. So far it seems to be exactly the same as how the key fob is for the S and X.

Sure can. Double click the front of the fob to open the frunk and back of the fob to open the trunk.

Reliability. The only added functionality is that you can activate homelink via the app now.

My homelink works 100% of the time when I'm coming home, but it fails quite a bit leaving my house. When I manually push the homelink icon it does always close the garage though. No difference with V10.

I just received the new key fob. It works great. Passive entry works, walk away lock works. Life is good. :)

This might be a silly question, but if someone were to "find" my key fob, would they easily be able to just reprogram it to use for their car?

Every time I see someone put something in the front of the Model 3, I realize how good of a decision it was to make it plain.

For the front flaps I didn't install the screws because I didn't want to drill any holes on the car. So far it hasn't been a problem.

Is Tesla insurance a monthly thing or do you lock the rate in for 6 months like most other insurance? I'm just wondering if rates will fluctuate on a monthly basis.

I got a quote for about $215 a month which is more than all other insurance companies I've gotten a quote from.

I typically turn on the rear camera so I can kind of eye ball if there's enough space in the rear.

I was under the impression that the measurements are only from the front and rear sensors. When I enter my garage the side of my car is practically next to my house and I'm not getting a reading of how close I am on the side.

That's one way to think about. Another way to think about it is I was able to afford the car because I bought a lot of knockoff products and saved a lot of money. :D

If it's half the price or cheaper, heck yeah I'll go with a knockoff.

The benefit of the snapplate is that it is designed to be easily removable. I really like the form factor but will wait for a decrease in price or a knock off that's cheaper.

Not sure what happened but I had to remove my phone from the car and and set it as a key again for the constant notification to come back.

I can't get the constant notification to come back on my phone. It is very useful to be able to unlock the door and frunk from the notification.
