    MCU3 Release Date?

Agreed, I believe it’s very unlikely that any infotainment hardware for new S, X, Cybertruck and Roadster will be offered as upgrade options for pre 2021 S/X

    2020.48.37.2 just released?

The first 3 years of my ownership I was getting updates every 2 to 6 weeks, but this changed at the end of 2020. I have MCU1 and HW3. Upgraded my HW2.5 last year, as I purchased EAP and FSD with my car. In the last 7 months I have only received 2020.48.37.1 and .2. I wonder if there is a...

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

The car its coming from is an S 100D registered 11th May 2018 with VIN 2408xx But it's registered in Norway, so there was prob some transit time. What are you basing that on. Do you have any info on part no for MCU2?

    HW 3.0 Upgrade Tracker

What kiind of upgrade are you talking about? -Is an MCU upgrade required to install the FCD Computer (HW3)? -Or do they need to upgrade the FSD Computer to be compatible with MCU1 cars? I have not heard any info of this, please share if you have any info or source.

    HW 3.0 Upgrade Tracker

I find is strange and slightly worrying that I have not seen any reports of MCU1 cars receiving the FSD/HW3 update yet. Tesla switched over to install FSD computer in new S/X March 22nd 2019, and still we only see some small number of MCU2 cars on the West Coast receiving the update and no MCU1...

What should my ideal charge percentage be?

Hi, The 610 km range is based on the WLTP test procedure, which is a standardised test procedure that is useful for comparing range between cars. The km displayed in your Model S is based on a consupmtion constant that Tesla belvie is repersentative for your Model. I belive you have about 98...

    V10 on MCU1

Any news in the changelog for 2019.32.12.1? I'm installing the same version now, but wont be able to check the update in the car until tomorrow.

MCU1 performance improvement & browser improvement. Simple trick by Thomas The Tesla Tuner..

I have the same experience. In 19.32.11 the browser, changelog and usermanual was completely dead. (also in the months before) Yesterday I got 19.32.11.1 and they are actually working. Browser is actually halfway useable.

"Checking for updates..." message on v10.0 (2019.32.11 bac8c51)

Since I installed v10 with 19.32.11 the message "Checking for updates..." is displayed in my software tab. Usually I would see "Your car software is up to date" here. I have tried soft reboot and hard reboot of both MUC and ICU. Also powering off the car. It has been conected to my home WiFi...

MCU1 performance improvement & browser improvement. Simple trick by Thomas The Tesla Tuner..

I havent been able to open pages on web browser, my user manual or SW update changelogs for at least 3 months. No number of rebots, power offs, sketchpad tricks or recent SW updates have solvded this. My car is 1 year and 9 months old. I really wish was something I can do to fix this.

    AP2/MCU1 & V10 - German Model S Release Notes Found Online

Elon has tweeted at least a few times that a MCU1 -> MCU2 swap will be possible, but I have not seen any verified accounts of people that have done it at SC. Really a bummer as the MCU2 came just a few monts after i got my Model S. Feels kind of bad that my 100k USD car that is less then 2...

    Firmware Version?

Sentry mode is currently only on cars with AP2 hardware or newer (Cars manufactured from 2016.10.19) Sentry mode is currently only able to store video on AP2.5 hardware or newer (Cars manufactured from Aug 2017) I belive all cars will get Dog mode once you get sw version 2019.8.x or newer.

    Software Update 2019.12.x

Yes, I know Model 3 in Norway has NoA in 2019.12, I believe in Germany aswell. I don't understand why only enable the function on Model 3 and not S/X.

    Firmware Version?

Hi, 2018.50.6 is the current version that is widely released for AP1 cars. If you check teslafi firmware tracker you will see that 83% of AP1 cars have that version installed. Less than 10% has newer sw version than you. Generally the only thing you can do that will get you updates quicker is...

    Software Update 2019.12.x

Has anyone in Europe got NoA with 2019.12 for their Model S / X? I have read that some Model 3 owners in Norway and Germany has NoA, but have not read any accounts of NoA on S/X outside North America.

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

The reason I advocates keeping hands on the wheel so the car senses it, is that every time there has been an AP accident lately, it seems the driver was unattentive and was not holding the wheel (or holding it in a way the car was unable to register) In the aftermath more warnings will come, as...

When a certain amount of the user base express issues with a feature, and others does not have the issue, it's quite normal to share eqperience on how you use the feature correctly, to avoid having issues. A lot of people complain that AP is not sening when they are holding the wheel. That is...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

Since no other vehicles on teslafi show up with this [2018.21.9] yet, I will hazard a guess that OP got a beta version by mistake or chance. My guess is that we will start seeing 2018.22 at the end of this week with some AP improvements ref Elon’s statement at the shareholders. I generally...

    2018.20

Are you the X 75D from Ohio? Finally saw the 2018.20 on tesla first and went straight here to check. Rumor has it that this contains a lot of bug fixes. The eq scale being back at twelve increments could suggest the HiFi is tweaked/fixed. Any noticeable changes to AP and the graphics in the IC?

Autopilot hardware 2.0 or 2.5...how to tell?

I wouldn’t worry. At the current state of affairs there is no practical difference for the user between a 2.0 and 2.5 car. If upgraded HW will be required to achieve the advertised EAP / FSD features, and you have purchased the features, Tesla will upgrade your HW FOC.

    New Firmware 2018.2 Released

I know it feels like a long time ago, but the last release for S/X was 16 days ago. Jan 1st 2018 ‘2017.50.3’ introduced the rain sensor/auto wiper beta function.

    FSD video completely fake?

For those who did not see the Reddit Post, here is the post in question[Rumor/Speculation: Tesla has completed the Coast to Coast FSD trip with 30 human interventions] Screen capture below To me 30 disengages on a coast-to-coast drive seems pretty impressive. Three-position dynamic LED turning lights in new, custom Model S

    .48 feels like AP2 finally passed AP1

Based on my experience of EAP, this was expected. Seems to me you are giving more playroom for the EAP than what I’m comfortable with. As others have pointed out, be careful with how much confidence you give EAP. As your familiarity and experience with the system increase, you gain more...

    .48 feels like AP2 finally passed AP1

Is there any correalation between the location (California area) and the people reporting strong performance of EAP on 50.3? Could the improvment be related to the new autopilot map tiles discussed in this thread; Tesla Autopilot maps I went trough 50.1, 50,2 and noticed 50.2 was very erratic...

2017.50.2 3bd9f6d Is out, Easy Entry after belt unbuckle

Hi, Chill mode has not been made available on 'pre AP' cars. If your car is manufactured before 9th Oct 2014 you do not have the AP hardware and will not get the Chill mode at this release. It is possible that tesla will release Chill to the classic cars at a later stage, but I would not hold...

    Tesla Autopilot maps

The EV record on a coast-to-coast run is about 52 hours. If Tesla is attempting the gig, they need a fleet of cars to do the run to avoid failure. Just imagine the agony of a disengage at the 51st hour of the trip using a single car;) Happy New year to all of you TMC guys and gals!

BTX7 Battery on the latest Tesla EPA filings: 80kWh, 350v, 16 modules

The 75 kWh packs (BTX5) has 75 kWh with 72,6 kWh usable energy. Do you mean that cars with the 80P (BTX7) has 8% more usable energy available now, or just a potential to be unlocked to ~78,4 kWh available energy?

    HW2.5 capabilities

You’ll have it in 3, definently 6 months The reason I’m asking is that this could tell us more about what is actually used during lane change. BTX8 battery-code on a 75D... or is it a 85D

    Hi, 60kWh, 70kWh and 75kWh packs are 350VDC. Supercharging at 350VDC and pulling a maximum of 300 Amp will give you 105kW P = U x I P= 350 x 300 P = 105 000 (105kW) The 85kWh, 90kWh and 100kWh packs are 400VDC Supercharging at 400VDC and pulling a maximum of 300 A will give you 120kW
