The ultrasonic sensors are not covered. I believe they used pre-cut templates for the front and read bumpers that already have small holes cut out for the sensors.

I just got my car back from XPEL Austin today. They did an awesome job on it. This is the first red Tesla I've seen with XPEL Stealth, and I think it looks great with the satin finish.

How did you get stranded because of the app being down? I thought you couldn't drive an S or X without the fob.

Normally I would agree with you, but now that it's been established that Tesla's servers can go offline and make the app unusable for every owner in the world for 9 6 hours (and counting), it might be worth reevaluating whether adding Bluetooth is really such a waste of time.

I'm pretty sure the Model 3 will unlock when the owner's phone is nearby, and the connection is through Bluetooth. If that's an acceptable level of security, then I don't see the problem with connecting directly from the app with the S and X.

Thanks, Dan. It's good to know someone from Tesla monitors these forums and that the issue is being worked on. Is there any particular reason the app has to connect back to Tesla's servers instead of connecting directly to the car with Bluetooth?

I just assumed that the lines represented the centers of the tires when I first used the backup camera. For some reason, that seems more appropriate, but I guess I can understand why you would want them to be on the outer edge.

I'd like to see a much bigger selection of colors. Right now, you can only get a new Tesla painted Red, Blue, or one of five different shades of gray. A car that goes 250+ mph should be available in some louder colors.
