That's not good. Did you test fit it before removing the adhesive backing? Mine fit perfectly once I removed those two plastic ends. Dropped right on and there is no wood showing anywhere.

Good luck with your install. Nothing on the console. It's my wife's car and I may still add clear wrap to the console. Our 2013 Ford Fusion Ti has a very similar high gloss black plastic console and while it gets dirty easily it hasn't gotten scratched up over the almost 6 years we've owned it.

Mine just arrived and was well packaged. It has very clean edges on it and I expect it to be undetectable that it's an add on piece. I don't think I'll get it installed tonight so we'll have to wait until Wednesday evening. Ooooooooooooooooh

I'm installing it. I don't think it's too difficult as the CF panel goes over the top of the wood. Mine arrives on Tuesday and I should have it installed that evening once my wife gets home from work with the car.

I’m aware of it and I’m fine with it. I don’t like the wood and don’t want to look at it anymore. IMO that wood panel doesn’t fit with the test of the interior and sticks out like a sore thumb.

Is the white dash smooth? The natural wood dash strip is not and would make it tough to wrap. Still looking for someone who has installed the CF dash panel. It is a bit pricey but real CF usually is. This looks like a nice piece but would like to confirm that.

No brake lights on my car. Earlier in this thread are procedures to reset using your steering wheel controls. Try that.

Sounds similar to the issues I've been having. You can reset the software but I doubt it will solve your issue.

Does this fix the battery fan and interior over heat fan from running all the time? Ours didn’t turn off for a month during the last go around. Not to mention the HVAC having a mind of its own and the car not waking up even after you tap the screen, select drive and press the brake?

Well it's back and this time it's really sucking up the battery. It used up 44 miles of range between midnight and 6 am this morning. And yes it was charged and plugged in. Anyone else having similar issues? A different fan is running this time and it's louder. I hope this gets resolved...

Not much to see. I think you want the rubber to be consistent from top to bottom. Mine stuck out towards the top and had a big gap in the middle.

The software update from yesterday is 2018.24.7. As I was deleting all of my screen shots I noticed that the interior of the car never exceeded 90 degrees so AFAIk it never hit 105, at least in my garage when the screen shots were taken and the fan was running.

Sorry, been on vacation. With both doors closed there was a low spot in the gasket around the middle of the passenger rear window. Funny I thought it was the high spot. Regardless it's much quieter now.

Thanks @ShockOnT that's my conclusion as well and confirmed by my Tesla service advisor. It's my wife's car and she is charging at 150 miles of range left or lower. That works for her comfort level. I might add she doesn't miss visiting gas stations and much prefers "refueling" at home. Now...

Update on my wind noise. A friend of mine rode in the rear passenger seat and noticed a lot of noice coming from around the window. When I took my car to my local SC they noticed the gasket didn't look right and replaced it. The wind noise decreased significantly. Has anyone installed the...

Update. I charged the car (90%) overnight and unplugged it this morning. The fan was still running this morning before unplugging it. I just checked and it's still running. The battery has drained 8 miles of range since I unplugged it this morning, about a mile per hour.

Where does this come from? I'm not charging mine until it's down to about 50% and another member insisted I leave it plugged in all the time and keep it fully charged (90%). See post in the thread below. From my read "regularly" doesn't mean every minute of every day. We are using the car...

The fan is still running and I have a service apt in two weeks. Oh well, I'll update once I have an answer.

Fan was still on after an hour so I plugged it in and charged it for an hour. You guessed it the fan is still on. We're taking the car to dinner now and I'll call Tesla again when we get back.

I usually use miles and it was showing 211 so approximately 66%.
